Tsuya Tsuya

Wow....haven't blogged for days....that shows how busy i am...
I just filed my income tax this morning. Woke up at 6am to do it since i figured the server will be faster and not jammed in the wee morning. But in my haste....i forgot to fill in the EPF deduction. Thus, i paid extra. Oh well, got to write a letter to ask for refund. Payment via Maybank2u was so easy! I think e-filing is great. They just need a bigger and powerful server to handle the increasing load.

OK......coming to the title today. Tsuya Tsuya.

Have you gals heard of this brand before??!!!
I haven't! The other day I had a date at 1Utama. And while i walked pass popular bookstore, there was a booth with some girls selling stuffs and also doing some leg massaging. I quickly breezed by but not without being caught by 1 of the girls who was sooooooooooooo pushy and persistent trying to sell me this block of nail buff. She practically begged me to let her buff my fingers. I reluctantly let her. And well, i liked that my nails instantly became shiny!! So i caved and bought this from her. RM12.80. hu hu.....she was so happy I'm buying that she hugged me!!!! Though when i tried to use it on my own, i can't achieve the shine that the girl did on my finger!! I need to figure out how to work this buff thingie.

Anyway, I came home and checked out this brand. They have a website www.tsuyatsuya.com.sg
Apparently it is started by a Malaysian lady from Penang. Now they supply beauty tools to various saloons. The girls were even trying to get me to buy the Mascara. I quickly walked off because i was late for my date. :)
I asked if they have a storefront, but the answer was no....they're doing roadshows across various shopping centres and they have a saloon. But i didn't ask the whereabouts of the saloon.
But the website is quite impressive.

[ps. Hey guys if u see $$$ at my labels means its a paid post. And all such titles will be tagged with square brackets. Tks!]

Hair care Myths & Facts

I've just read some pretty interesting Q & A from Stylelist
I thought i'd share the Q & A with my readers. It is very useful.

Q1: Do you really need to trim hair every 6-8 weeks to keep it healthy?

NO. NYC salon owner John Barrett says, "If you take good care of your hair, you can go three months (12 weeks) between cuts. If you're growing your hair out, avoid the salon even longer. You'll never grow it out if you're in the stylist's chair that often!" Exception: if you have a short cut, you may need frequent trims to keep the shape.

Q2: I've heard that rinsing hair before swimming reduces chlorine damage. True?

YES. "You don't want chlorinated water to be the first thing that your hair soaks up," says Jennifer J., Owner of Beverly Hills' Juan Juan Salons. Rinsing your hair with water first prevents chlorine absorption. The ultimate protection is combing conditioner through your hair and topping with a swim cap, advises J.

Q 3: Is oil the best treatment for damaged hair?

NO. In fact, you may be doing big damage if your hair is colored. Rona O'Connor, Colorist at LuKaRo Salon of Beverly Hills warns, "Never put oil on your hair -- it will strip your color! When we fade colors in the salon purposely, we use hot oil." Oil mixtures can contain acidic ingredients, which strip color. Protein treatments are the most effective for damaged tresses.

Q4: Is $25 shampoo really worth it?

YES. "Expensive shampoos contain fewer sulfates, the detergents that strip the hair of its natural oils and color," says expert Jennifer J. "Also, high-end shampoos use finer ingredients at higher concentrations, so a little goes a long way," adds Jeffrey Lyle, Senior Stylist at Boston's Emerge Spa & Salon.

Q5: Do volumizing shampoos work?

NO. Volumizing shampoos are lighter, which can provide a good start to your style. But "95% of volume is achieved from a product and blowout," says Lyle. A hair dryer, big round brush and root lifter spray are a must for high-volume styles; no cutting corners on this one.

Q6: Do I need a full 15 minutes for a deep conditioner to work?

NO. "Any amount of time you can dedicate to deep conditioning is good. It's better than nothing -- just like exercise," says Amy Abramite, Creative Director of Chicago's Maxine Salon. Wrapping hair in a warm damp towel "will open the cuticle so your hair accepts the conditioner quicker," says Abramite.

Q7: My stylist says to wash my hair only once a week. Is this a good idea?

YES. The natural oils in your scalp provide the best conditioning treatment for your hair. But is this practical? Only for those with very dry hair, says celeb stylist Lea Journo. Journo advises clients to go four days max without washing in order to naturally condition their hair without over-doing it.
[Ms.Fash: erm....but for us in Malaysia, never go without shampooing your hair for more than 2 days.....bcos...yucks..its so hot and humid here....i hate stinky hair..]

Q8: Do sunscreen sprays for hair work?

NO. Sunscreen sprays can't hurt, but aren't proven to help. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is measurable on skin, not hair. NYC salon owner Lisa Chiccine says it's more important to coat hair with a spray-on or leave-in conditioner so there's a physical barrier between the sun rays and your strands.

Q9: So many hair products claim to repair split ends. Can they?

NO. No product on the market can actually repair split ends, although some can temporarily fuse ends together for a smoother look. "Harsh reality: the best way to treat split ends is to cut them off," says Abramite.
[Ms.Fash: agree! snip snip!!]

Q10: Do vitamin supplements have any effect on hair?

YES. Chiccine recommends Biotin, which is a vitamin that encourages cell growth in both your hair and nails. "Biotin can be found at the vitamin store, and you can look for shampoos with it if hair thinning or slow growth is a concern of yours," says Chiccine.

Q11: Do all-in-one shampoos and conditioners work?

NO. Lyle says, "It's impossible to receive the maximum benefit of cleansing or conditioning when it is combined. One cancels the other out." The only exceptions are super short styles, like a crew cut, that don't require much conditioning.

Q12: Should I use a dry shampoo?

YES. While dry shampoos don't give you a complete cleansing, the powders absorb excess oil on your scalp for a quick refresher between washes, saving you time and damage by eliminating washing. Barrett adds, "It's is a fantastic styling aid to add body, texture and volume to clean wispy hair. One of the new incarnations of dry shampoo from Bumble and Bumble is so popular, it's often sold out for months. Grab it, if you find it!
[Ms.Fash: ooh....never use nor heard of dry shampoo before!]

Q13: Are clarifying shampoos too strong for my hair?

MAYBE. "Clarifying shampoos will strip all hair but I warn color-treated hair to stay far away," says Chiccine. "Instead, combine five aspirin with a quart of water. Shampoo with your regular cleanser and rinse, and then apply this mix, and rinse it out. It removes product build-up without stripping hair and even gets the yellow out of silver shades."

Q14: I've heard that hair products with silicones to control frizz are bad for your hair. True?

NO. Silicone smoothes the hair surface, making heat-styling results appear both shiny and silky. The new silicones are super light-weight, and can even be used on fine hair without the threat of weigh-down.

Q15: Can I wash my hair with conditioner, and skip shampoo?

YES -- BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE CURLY OR COARSE HAIR. Abramite says, "Just conditioning curly or coarse hair will add moisture and prevent frizz. An occasional wash will prevent product-build up and reinvigorate the scalp. --Melissa Goldberg

There you go! Hope its useful for all!! Have a great weekend!!!

Makeup Wedges

These makeup wedges are from bobbi brown.
But of course, there are plenty of these wedges around in beauty stores.

When i first learn how to make-up(the proper professional ones), i was introduced to this wedge.
It was the first time I see such a thing....and then learn how to use them.

But over the years, i've forgotten about them and I used my fingers most of the time to apply my foundation. I guess i feel that since those liquid foundation are so expensive, it should not be wasted, and having a sponge soaking them would be such a waste! Might as well spread all of them using my fingers and thus stretching the little bottle longer.

But recently i have gotten back to using a sponge to apply my foundation again. And one thing i realize is that the foundation is spread out more evenly and my face actually look much nicer and flawless when applied foundation with a sponge!! hehe.......silly me for using my fingers all along!

How do you put on your foundation?

[[Costume Jewelry]]

Its no secret that i have the passion for handmade jewelry.....and i meant it as making my own jewelry and not just buying them. I like to look around for inspirations to create my own designs....but jewelry beading is very time consuming and not to mention...costly too. Therefore i will be absolutely delighted if i see gorgeous jewelry that is cheap because being a beader means that i KNOW how hard it is to achieve certain designs and so the money that i paid for is well worth the penny.

mod2vint.com is a new online costume fashion jewelry site. I've browsed through the collection and i must say that i did find some that i absolutely fancy! Plus it is ridiculously cheap too!!

For eg. these Faux pearl neclace set is only $6.99!!!!

and this one at $9.99 only. So elegant! I can picture wearing this to a wedding dinner.

This Faceted Heart and Beads Necklace and Earring Set at only $8.99

A more elaborate piece like this one will cost more. $24.99.

If you like fashion rings.... I saw a few that caught my fancy....like this one

and this one....which is vintage inspired.

Earring lovers should check out their trendy earrings as it is so cheap and nice.
this only cost $4.99!!

Really really cheap! And i think it will make great gifts as a Mother's day present for the coming month. I mean, you don't have to spend a bomb to get a gorgeous set. For those tight on the budget....perhaps this can work for you.

    Elianto Blusher

I was looking for a bronze blusher. Especially the other day when i was at the body shop i was totally looking for a blusher of a bronze tone. But no luck!! I'm glad i did not purchase anything because i totally found THE bronze blusher i was looking for at the Elianto pushcart!

Happy is me when the price of this baby is only RM18!!! And the color is incredible. I wanted to achieve the bronze/gold kinda nude make-up, and i find that this color is perfect. It gives out a hint of pink and not just gold. Its perfect perfect perfect. I'm very happy with it.
Plus i was told that this can be worn dry and wet. I've never tried to wet it before but you can!!!
I think its awesome. The price is great and they have many other colors to choose from too.

I was told that this bronze color run out pretty fast. I'm glad that i manage to grab hold of it.
I truely love the color so i've been using it daily! :o)

    I have a date....

its weird to have a date after not having one for such a longggggggg time.
My OLLLLDDDDDDDDD friend from school will be in town this weekend and had asked me out.
The thing is. He is still single. He is extremely wealthy now. And........he used to be my admirer.
And......he will be driving his spanking new luxury sports car worth about over a mil or so.

...AND he wants to pick me up.
Yikes man.....this sorta freak me out a little. haha....hey i'm a married women......and when a luxury car(perhaps not even existent in Malaysia) pulls up in front of my house to pick ME up. You'd think the neighbors won't notice and start gossiping? No thanks. I can drive.

Now, I've got to find a way to tell the hubby about this date. Do you think he would mind? I mean, he is having some engagement the same evening so i'd be home alone anyways...why not meet up an old friend right?
Hmm.....of course i'd be wearing my wedding band lah.......
I'm thinking of introducing him to some of my single friends. Any one wants a rich bf? send your resume to me now.....kekekeke

    A Bunch Of Busy body

OK. I am REALLY furious right now. I'm thinking to turn on full BITCH MODE and blast away here.....but.......ney......i'm not going there. But here comes the rant.

    Also about Hair issue today.
Somehow I was informed about a certain group of busybody's commenting that my hair is dry....blablabla......
Now I don't know about you but maintaining a crowning glory that flows down to your waist is not an easy task. Definitely your hair will be dry loh.
But what makes me upset after hearing about their little "gossip" is that they compared MY HAIR with another lady that totally bleached and colored and blow and set her hair every single freaking day. Argghh.....My hair is au naturale ok. No chemicals, No color at all!! the last time i dyed my hair was at least 10 years ago loh!!!! Hmmppphhh.....and these bunch of aunties....i really don't know how they make their judgmental statements without examining the facts closely. They only always see THAT lady from afar. Try looking at her hair up close! SOOO DRY LOH!!!

oh ya.......and you know the REAL motif of their comment on me?? ya lah....they want to sell me their Hair Products!!!!! YES..shampoos and stuffs. Puhleesss. It would be the last thing i do. Look at YOUR hair first before you ask me to buy YOUR products.

I mean, its one thing if the comments are sincere and out of real care about me.....sincere criticisms I can take. But i cannot tolerate having people put me down like that just so they can sell me stuffs. I LOATHE THEE!!
    You totally ruined my day.

    :(

    Beautiful Asian Fringe Clip

While at the subject of hair.
I'd like to introduce you to something that I have seen from the famous Taiwan Variety show.
    Which is the Fringe Clip.

You know sometime you see asian celebrity with beautiful hair and they have their fringe done very nicely with slight wavy romantic texture and wondered how on earth did they do that?

Well, apparently, this clip is the secret. I have not tried them because i couldn't find them anywhere here in Malaysia, but of course, you can find them on easily on ebay if you want to buy them online.

I'm really curious and would definitely like to try them if i happen to chance by them.

DIY-How to Curl Your Hair with Sponge Curlers

Well, I didn't think any of you would be interested in my DIY sponge curlers thingie...but surprisingly there are people anticipating my post-finding on them. Lets just say, i've been queried. Therefore, i'd go against the norm, and post up some pics of myself. Which i RARELY do......cos i'm anonymous ma...but what the heck.....

So these are those sponge curlers. They're often raved about in Taiwan talkshows. I bought 2 packs from Sasa which consist of 4 each pack of RM12.80. So i have 8 of them. However, 8 isn't enough. I need at least 4 more.....so the other 4 i use those old fashion, grandma curlers as substitute in which you will see in a bit.

ahem ahem....Ms.Fash in her lingerie.OOooo........ok stop staring at my fats and concentrate on my hair. Here is my before pic. I have really straight hair. This is after a wash.

So wait till your hair is about 90% dry.....Then you can start the curling process.
    I use VO5 mousse

so that the curls can hold longer. Otherwise, it wouldn't even hold for 2 hours lah.....my hair is too heavy n straight for it to stay curly.

So this is after i've done them.
How you curl is to part your hair into multiple sections....
use hair clips to clip up loose hair and work them section by section.
Start with the tip of the hair. Slot them into the curlers and then roll upwards in any direction until the desired length.
Miraculously the hair will hold in the sponge without any fastening.

Sleep through the night.........Erm......its tad uncomfortable but hey beauty comes with a price....*winks*

When you wake up the next day.....take those sponge curlers off and taadaaaa!!!!!!

Gorgeous curls!! DIY!!! noneed to go saloon wan......
Of course, the secret to have them shiny is to spray some lucidol on them before you head out of the house.

Tadaaaa!!! Easy, breesy, beautiful.....covergirl! aha....ok.....just borrowing the line from ANTM covergirl ad. :O)

Of course, you CAN achieve the same results if you have the hair styling iron. I do have that too.........but it takes a LONGGGG time to curl all my hair and usually i do not have that time to spare to get myself ready for anything....especially work!! i only take 10minutes to get my make-up done so i have more sleeping time. hehe.........so with this option, i can do all the curling at night and when i wake-up, i just have to take them off and spray some lucidol and comb a little....thats it. Saves a hell lot of curling time!!!!

Hope you like this post!! :o)

    The Body Shop Blushing Daisies

I went to The Body Shop recently because I have about RM40 rebates to spend.
I had in mind to get myself a new blusher and so after thoroughly looking through the make-up items. The only thing that caught my fancy was this Blushing Daisies blush. Although i only saw 1 color, which is the darker one, at the Curve outlet. I didn't know that they have a lighter shade.

I ALMOST bought it but it retails at RM79!!! That is abit too much to me for a blusher from Body Shop. I means, its not like they are Shu Eumura or a Dior. Its just a freaking body shop item! RM79??? for a blush?? well, ya i do have RM40 to spend but i just didn't figure that its a justifyable purchase. Thus, i left it at that, undecided.

I mean, I can get a gorgeous blush palette from Elianto at only RM18....
I need to know if its worth my money. Anyone bought them and think a world of it?

    Reality Show, American Idol

When im not busy with my work, most of my time is spent downloading the latest episodes of reality shows from youtube to watch.

Currently following American Idol, America's Next Top Model (cycle 10 ok! 8tv is crap...only at cycle 7 neh!!!!)and also our local Malaysian Dreamgirl.

I must say that i just hate these voting system shows so much!!! argghhh.........This week, i'm very angry and disappointed over all the eliminations.... like...what da duck??!! All the good ones always gets eliminated. Gah!!!

I mean, Lets just talk about American Idol ok.
I was a little upset when Amanda was voted off.
Then I got REALLLY upset when Remielle got voted off (over Kristy Lee??!!)
And then Micheal Johns!!!!!! aiyohhh..........why is Kristy Lee even STILL there???!!! I don't get it......i know she is beautiful but really......she should be sent home wayyyy earlier.
    Sigh......

My current favourites are, in that order:

    1. Carly Smithson
    2. Jason Castro
    3. Brook White
    4. David Cook

David archuletta is dwindling.... he was like....WOW! child prodigy in the beginning. But now, I'm kinda bored with his performance. He is boring. He needs to find a great song...else.

erm...Brook needs to step it up too. Getting boring n predictable.

I love Carly every time she sings! Although she has scary tattoos, but i don't understand why Simon didn't get her performance. I thought she was awesome every single time.

Jason Castro just blew me away with Hallelujah and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. He has the most dreamy gorgeous mesmerizing eyes!!! and what i like about him is that he is unique.

David Cook must be the most consistent performer and thus he deserves to be among the top.

I really love Remielle she is so likable!! and I actually digg the dolly parton song she sang, it kept ringing in my mind. hehe......too bad she is out.....and Micheal too. What a pitty.

    Romantic Princess

    Hi my dears!

So....what have i been up to (aside from being too busy with work to blog).
I've been busy watching this show on Youtube. It is SUPER ADDICTIVE ok!!!
Thats the reason for my previous post too...i'm addicted to that song.
And the songs kept ringing in me the whole day for days!!!!
If you like princessy stories and fantasy.....and romantic stories....this must be the show to watch!

Romantic Princess (公主小妹) Gong Zhu Xiao Mei, previously known as, Wo Jia Gong Zhu (我家公主), is a Taiwanese drama which aired every Sunday on CTV. The drama features Wu Zun and Calvin Chen of Fahrenheit, and Angela Chang. The production is based on the shōjo manga Four Steps to Romance (ろまんす五段活用 Romance Godan Katsuyou?), by Kazuko Fujita.

Let me just say that I love ALL the main characters soo much...

    Main Cast

    • Angela Zhang as Mai Qiu Sui (Huangfu Shan/Xiao Mai) 麥秋穗 (皇甫珊)
    • Wu Zun as Nan Feng Jin 南風瑾
    • Gu Bao Ming as Huangfu Xiong 皇甫雄
    • Calvin Chen as Nan Feng Cai 南風彩
    • George Hu as Nan Feng Lin 南風璘
    • Eric Lee Ang Lin as Nan Feng Ying 南風影
    • Genie Zhuo as Gong Mo Li 宮茱莉
    • Bu Xue Liang as Mai Cong Guang 麥聰光
    • Huang Jia Qian as Mai Ge Hao Wa 麥戈浩娃
    • Hsia Ching Ting as Yi Sen Chuan 伊森川

Angela Chang (who played the main character) is SOOOOOO pretty she is the epitome of the word "princess" She is soooo cute and bubbly....she looks good and pretty in anything. Her humongous eyes are so mesmerizing. If i am a guy, she is probably the type of gal i would fall in love with. No doubt!

The other 2 main character of the show must be

Wu Zun (as Nan Feng Jin) and Calvin as (Nan Feng Cai) both guys are from the sihging boy group called Fahrenheit. Both of them are stunningly GORGEOUS!!! I just love the way they dressed and look all gentlemanly and hunky in this show. Makes me go all dreamy doe eyed....like a teenager...*grins*

The flow of the storyline is nothing special albeit the plot can be quite entertaining at that you never expected it to be that way.......but overall the story is very enjoyable.

    Summary

Adopted by middle classed parents, Mai has always had a dream to be an heiress. Who knew that one day this dream would come true.

Mai's biological grandfather is the head of a prestigous aristocratic family and after many years of searching, he finally finds his long lost granddaughter.

As she starts her life as an heiress, everyday is filled with excitement, however, everything seems a bit different from what she had imagined them to be.

The songs played along the series are very nice a catchy too.......

Neng Bu Neng Yong Gan Shuo Ai (能不能勇敢說愛) Can you Bravely Say Love by Angela Zhang
Le Yuan (樂園) Paradise by Angela Zhang
Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Angela Zhang

I can't decide which guy i prefer. Wu zun (Jin) or Calvin (Cai). Both have different characters and both are the type of guys that i would find attractive. However, i prefer Jin in the beginning episodes when he is oh so cool and arrogant!! His cold shoulders.....and serious expression really makes a girl fall for him.....but the later episodes when he begin to show more emotions and smile alot and do some silly antics....i didn't quite like that side of him. I like the serious him!!! So handsomeeee hehe......he doesn't look as nice when he smile. :)
On the other hand, Cai's smile can totally melt a girls heart. He's got cute dimples!!! ah......love men with dimples.....Although he portrays a "playboy"....but he is the typical "bad boy" type that good girls ALWAYS fall for! ahaks....

    Online Shopping : Part 2

The final parcel arrived yesterday! yoohoo!! I'm soooooooo happy to see my CK Be edt i sprayed them generously over my bed sheet....and even the toilet. hehe....after I spent an hour brushing and washing of course.....*wipe sweat*.

So, speaking of the devil. Haha...the postman arrived at my doorstep just an hour or so after my previous post. And I finally received my precious CK Be EDT.

One thing i genuinely like about
is that they are so professional in their packaging. They have their signature purple color ribbons over the percels. I can now identify parcels from them from a mile. On top of that, they make great gifts too as most items are nicely wrapped up in silver wrapping paper. I'm very happy with my purchase because they are much cheaper than buying them from beauty counters. Plus, being my first time purchase, I had my Lancolm lipstick FREE!(if purchased above USD25) You know this free item is currently my favourite lipstick!!! Its so soft and glides smoothly on my lips. The color looked pale but when applied on my lips doesn't look pale at all! It is pinkish.....very natural and good to pair with casual ware. See the picture below, the one in black is the free lipstick. Full Size man!!!

This picture above are the first loot that arrived. Plus, you get free shipping for all cosmetics items.... But fragrances are handled differently so it incurred slightly more for shipping. But all is worth it. Free shipping already is worth it. Because I've tried to do some online shopping but right up till the end where they calculated the shipping cost for me! my gawd...totally turn me off and so the purchase was abandoned.

Click here if you want to grab the lipstick. But fret not, they always have different giveaways. Previously was Stilla lipstick!! equally awesome. ;)

FREE Lancome lip color with any purchase over $25 USD at StrawberryNET (new customers only, while supplies last).

    Wednesday, April 02, 2008

still waiting for my 2nd parcel....

I've been waiting to write my "Online Shopping Part 2" post....i'm sure some of you are still waiting. I have part 1 so there should be a part 2 right?
Part 2 is suppose to be about my purchase from Strawberrynet. However.......there is 2 parts in part 2 too!! keke...so confusing. But anyway, the story goes like this.

I bought some stuffs from strawberrynet. 2 cosmetic items and 1 perfume.
Somehow, I only received my 2 cosmetic items. Which is my shueumura lipstick and my Anna sui mascara. I also got my free Lancolm lipstick which i ADORE!! VERY PRETTY PINK!!! love it!! If you want to try out strawberrynet you should now when new customers will receive 1 FREE lancolm lipstick!

FREE Lancome lip color with any purchase over $25 USD at StrawberryNET (new customers only, while supplies last).

    Cut back to my story....
So, there is 1 item missing, which is my CK be EDT.
Since it is perfume, the shipping charges were different. I had to top up additional USD4 i think for that shipping. So, since i have to pay differently for the perfume, i can accept that i might be receiving the parcel separately. However, until today i still have yet to receive my parcel. Seriously i'm getting abit worried. I'm not sure what happened to my parcel. Was it stuck at customs or lost at POS Malaysia or what...... I made my order on 17th March. I received my cosmetics only after a week or so...which is very fast.....so now i'm still waiting for my perfume.
I hope it will come soon........then i get to post my Part 2 .
