Another Wedding to attend this weekend

Frankly speaking......i don't feel like attending any weddings now because of how i'm feeling about myself lately. But i have no choice......the groom is my "pet bro" from childhood and I have to go!
Argh.....i can't seem to fit into any of my dinner clothes anymore. Sigh...

Anyway....speaking of weddings.......... Kauai spa offers such great wedding packages. It sent my searching for Kapaa!! haha...I had no idea where it was untill now. Well, sort of. I think its in Hawaii!! Ooooo i love hawaii themed weddings!! Its so relaxed and so beautiful!
For brides to be Kauai day spa have such wonderful packages. I love their bridal hair-do!
Look at this one. Its my favorite!

I think having a wedding some place exotic like Kauai is so romantic.
You need not have a big crowd....Just a small group of close friends and family. It would be wonderful! I think those people organizing the Kauai weddings sure needs to have a lot of passion for their job to make each wedding an unforgettable experience.

[Wedding Planning Blog]

A lot of my friends are getting married these days. I have 1 more wedding to attend this month and another one next month....and many more to come too.

This era, the Internet is a very powerful source of information, and thus it is a very useful source for bride-to-be to prepare and find out about wedding preparations before the big day.

If you need wedding planning help, this site http://www.romance-fire.com/ offers some great tips to help you conquer your wedding planning stress. But this site is written by the groom, so maybe there are some things that women are more particular than men. However, i'd say that he does cover quite a bit of details good enough for reference.

Many bride-to-be are getting smarter and smarter these days that they choose to prepare for their big day at least 1 year ahead. This gives them ample time to prepare every details to make the perfect wedding. I remember it only took me a couple of months to prepare for my wedding! haha......and actually there are quite a lot of nitty gritty details that needs to be taken care off! It is best to read and learn from other experience brides so that we don't make the same mistakes.

I think to me, the best way to conquer wedding day problems is to avoid having any expectations. Just have fun and go with the flow, don't fret over little hiccups and just enjoy the moment. This way, you will have a very enjoyable wedding.

[[Costume Jewelry]]

Its no secret that i have the passion for handmade jewelry.....and i meant it as making my own jewelry and not just buying them. I like to look around for inspirations to create my own designs....but jewelry beading is very time consuming and not to mention...costly too. Therefore i will be absolutely delighted if i see gorgeous jewelry that is cheap because being a beader means that i KNOW how hard it is to achieve certain designs and so the money that i paid for is well worth the penny.

mod2vint.com is a new online costume fashion jewelry site. I've browsed through the collection and i must say that i did find some that i absolutely fancy! Plus it is ridiculously cheap too!!

For eg. these Faux pearl neclace set is only $6.99!!!!

and this one at $9.99 only. So elegant! I can picture wearing this to a wedding dinner.

This Faceted Heart and Beads Necklace and Earring Set at only $8.99

A more elaborate piece like this one will cost more. $24.99.

If you like fashion rings.... I saw a few that caught my fancy....like this one

and this one....which is vintage inspired.

Earring lovers should check out their trendy earrings as it is so cheap and nice.
this only cost $4.99!!

Really really cheap! And i think it will make great gifts as a Mother's day present for the coming month. I mean, you don't have to spend a bomb to get a gorgeous set. For those tight on the budget....perhaps this can work for you.

Home Makeover!

I've just recently been invited to the hubby's friends house. The couple just moved into a new Semi-D. And the place was huge! They have very minimal junks and mostly are new furnitures. Needless to say, their house looked so nice and neat. While visiting other's house, i couldn't help but to think about my own home. OMG. the amount of junks we have accumulated over the years. Not forgetting the old folks that likes to keep old junks....sigh...when can my house look as nice as theirs??? I really really do need a house make-over. You know, something like what you see on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

Well, if you are like me. You're in luck!! You have the chance to Win a $20,000 Renuzit TriScents Home Makeover! $20,000 dollars is worth A LOT! If i have $20,000 I know exactly how to use it! Firstly i can build a huge build-in wardrobe. Then i would attach a slider door with mirrors to make my room look bigger. Buy some cabinets to store unsightly junks. Then we need a kitchen cabinet for more of our junks in the kitchen.

The contest is very easy to participate in.
Just register with TriScents. Then submit an entry into the Promotion by creating and uploading your own video file, photo file and essay by typing the submission into the free-form text field included on the Promotion web page. VIDEO FORMAT MUST BE IN MOV OR WMV. VIDEO NOT TO EXCEED 2 MINUTES IN LENGTH AND 20 MEGABYTES IN SIZE. PHOTO FORMAT MUST BE JPG OR GIF WITH A MAXIMUM SIZE OF 500KB. ESSAYS MUST BE WRITTEN IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE WITH A MAXIMUM OF 250 WORDS.

Wedding Invitation Cards

I just received another wedding invitation card and its another one in RED.
I guess its an auspicious color.....I've never seen any invites in black before! *chuckles*...i suppose nobody wants to jinx their own wedding.

I was browsing through 1st Class Wedding Invitations and found their cards to be rather exquisite looking.......simple and nice. I've never been to a beach wedding before! If beach wedding is your theme......this site sure have a good selection of Beach Wedding Invitations that portrays the theme. Your invited guest will immediately be sent day dreaming envisioning your wedding at the beach!

I think ordering invitations online is so easy and sure saves alot of time, money and effort. I remember my wedding invites was DIY-ed a.k.a handmade.....and wow i ended up spending much more than getting them printed.

Even if you like handmade cards, 1st class wedding invitations have handmade looking ones too...

Fashion Schools

For the longest time ever in my life i've always wanted to study Fashion Design.
It is my desire to be able to design and manufacture my own line of clothings.
I wonder if this dream will still be achievable at my age...

Wouldn't it be great if during my those days that i know of fashion schools such as these
fashion schools in california? I would have jumped at the opportunity to study in California if i had known about fashion schools then. California has many fashion-focused areas, especially Hollywood with its influence on the film industry. If you are interested in learning in one of the leading fashion and trend-setting states, then you should consider California fashion schools.

I guess, it is probably too late for me to do that for my age.....and also family commitments. But for those who just got their SPM results, it is wise to choose something you are passionate about for your further studies. Otherwise, you might just regret your choice.

Apart from being a designer, a fashion graduate can also advance in their career as a Merchandiser. It is definitely a fun job because you get to travel a lot and shop for wonderful clothes...

Many department stores and boutiques offer entry-level 'buyer' positions that would be a good way to get involved with fashion merchandising. Fashion merchandising offers many avenues to follow, including the following:
  • Assistant Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandise Stylist, or Customer Service Representative for a fashion manufacturer;
  • Assistant Sales Manager or Showroom Sales Representative in the fashion wholesaling business;
  • Department Manager, Assistant Buyer, Assistant Fashion Promotion/Special Events Coordinator, or Visual Merchandising Assistant for a fashion retailer;
  • Buying Office Assistant for a resident buying office;
  • Advertising Representative or Stylist for an advertising agency.

Planning for a holiday

Hubby told me that if we want to go for a holiday this year....i better shove it in this month while he is moderately free. Otherwise, come April onwards....we might not be able to fit any holiday into his schedule.

So........ with only about 2 weeks left....how can i plan for a good trip?!!!

But really, i thank God for the internet as Online booking really saves me alot of hassle.

One place that i would REALLY like to go is Hongkong. And I've been doing alot of research about it.

HotelReservations.com is great for me to book my hotel. I want to stay in kowloon area because all i want to do is shop shop shop!!! And its a surprise to me that some of the hotels offered here at hotel reservations is much much cheaper than others i've found from other hotel booking sites!
For example, Regal Oriental Hotel is only 92USD!! So far the cheapest i've found before this is 106USD! thats a huge difference!
They currently have discounts up to 70% and promises lowest rate. I'm impressed!
Well....i'm off to check out if i can secure a flight because it is school holiday season and its not easy to plan in such short notice....

If i can't make it this round, i'd probably check out the vacation packages and plan in advance.

I plan to go on a holiday to the US

If i am to plan for a holiday this year. The targeted destination will definitely be the US.

I've only been to the US once when I was 8 years old. Though I still have bits and pieces of memories in my mind, i do wish I can go on another tour to the US. And this time, i would like to go to the East coast of America.

Places that i would love to visit would be Orlando!! Because it is named to be Theme park Capital of the word for a reason....Disneyland!!!! yes yes....i love disneyland though i've been to 2 before, i would love to visit disneyland again and this time with hubby dearest....it'll be fun!! And since this year is the year of the Mickey Mouse....we should visit him at his house ma....right?!!

Of course, since the value of USD against MYR have drop significantly to about 3.2 now, I think it would be a great time to do some serious shopping over at New York!! where else!!

The hubby have uncles in Canada, so we are also planning to visit Canada too!! One of the must visit places in Canada to me must be the Niagara Falls! I've always wanted to visit the falls.......

I imagine the view would be so breathtaking.... I wonder how much would flights to Canada be.

I really hope we can make this holiday happen this year. Fingers crossed.

Text Link Ads and Paid Post Removed

Another PR wave came and gone......
Many regain back their PR. Mine is still stubbornly zero.
I hate that.
So today, i've decided to bow down to the big G and conform....
After all, Big G is synonymous with Search and in my opinion by far the best Search engine.
Hopefully my efforts will pay off in time and by the next wave, at least....Big G will reward me with something. Fingers crossed!

I've removed my text link ads today. As painful as it is. Well, not really THAT painful. I only got about 12USD last month....in average btwn 10-15USD per month in TextLinkAds lah....

So i bid farewell to effortless money monthly.......
I've also decided to stop payperpost and smorty. I've removed the old post (only 2 for ppp) 1 will mature in 1 month, have to leave that one there.... For my 2 smorty posts, i dont know if i can remove them.......gotta do some studying first.

Anyway, here is my first step towards regaining my PR after careful considerations...and sound advice by 5xmom of course....

Money making thingamajing online is sooooooo confusing...

I've been trying out some of the money making thingamajings just to try out and see how they work...
but after couple of tries......i get soooooooo confused.
See, i thought the best option to make more pocket money is by signing up with as many type of means(advertisers....etc) as possible because we all know that a single stream of revenue takes ALOT of time and effort, and not to mention risky too. Thus i've been trying to use various avenue such as adsense, ppp, TLA, smorty, sponsoredreview,kontera,nuffnang...etc.

However, not only i have to figure out how each of them works.......i also discovered that I have to pledge my loyalty. hmm....now THAT may be a problem. I have to choose only ONE revenue making means. Because, well..........they don't like each other. I think its really crazy and childish for advertisers to be so selfish.......i thought competition is a good thing for the real marketing world? But why is Internet Marketing soooo selfish?!!!
For example,

1. if u want more moolah from google adsense, you are not suppose to SELL LINKS(TLA) or write Paid Post (PPP). Otherwise, they take away your pagerank (mine got striped from PR3 to PR0...what a price to pay for writing 3 post of reviews only!!).....Recently Smorty

2. Smorty have limited opportunity but recently sent me a potential campaign....however there is a requirement...it says..."No blogs that have PayPerPost articles existing on the blog and no PayPerPost advertising either please."

wookay......can't do thatda one....

3. Then i checked out SponsoredReview for some interesting post....but there are requirements such as "no blogspot, blogger, typepad, other generic domains. Pr2+ with no indication of sponsored posts, affiliation to sponsoredreviews, text-link-ads.com, payperpost etc on your website."

hmmm....can't do thatda one either....

4. Then...i found the ONLY ppp post that I can do and did it.......at the same time i got approved by Kontera...... which leads to all my post being auto-linked by contentlink. Bummer......... PPP rejected my post due to the links that i couldn't figure out how to disable....

5. Nuffnang recently announced a special loyalty program that sort of disallow you to display ANY OTHER advertiser from SEA besides Nuffnang. Thats a really selfish monopoly...and not to mention boring too. I mean even TV channels we have more than 1 right.......

sigh....

It really boggles my mind how the Internet people function......I mean, its so confusing. I have to have high PR in order to qualify to write PPP, but if i write PPP reviews, google will remove my PR........er.....so howszat work again??!!
