I think its interesting to read about other's beauty nono's too....although it would be easier for me if we are talking about fashion crimes!! haaha...but....lemme try this


My Five Must-NOT Have Items

1. BRIGHT RED Lipstick
OK, confession. I loathe Bright Red Lipsticks.....most of my lipsticks collection are Pink, Nude, Brown, Rose, purple..........But no BRIGHT RED. I just can't stand them, makes me feel SOOOOOOO old school with red lipstick. I also think that red lipsticks makes people look older. But....well, as I AM getting older.......its getting more and more acceptable to me now ...who knows in a couple of years i might just go gaga over red? *shrugs*


2. Pink Eyeshadow
Pink eyeshadow. As much as i adore the color, it does not go well with my skin color. Somehow when i put on pink eyeshadow i would look like i was beaten up by my husband like that....


3. Smelly Shampoo or hair products
My hair MUST smell good at all times. It comes with the pet name my husband gave me. I'm "The fragrant princess". My hair always whiff out great smells. (tip: Sunsilk!) Whenever I try new shampoos or any hair care products, i must make sure they smell great. If they smell like herbs or medicine, forget it man! I won't buy them even if they are the best products in the whole wide world... nah'ah won't buy them...


4. 1 dollar china make-up from who knows where
I will never ever buy those make-up from unknown brands...especially something like Meiling or Fei Fei or something like that. I can't trust my face on those stuffs.....sorry.


5. Imitation Make-up
I never knew it exist until I saw 1 EXACT replica of Maybelline XXL Mascara!!! wow......those China people really can imitate anything.



Five Biggest Makeup/Skincare Crimes

1. Mix and matching too many types of facial products
- Skincare are not like make-ups where you can simply mix and match. It is best that you don't mix and match facial care products as the skin reacts differently to different products. I often make this mistake that i buy too many types of facial products to use and ended up using various types on different days.......which is bad. Because this way, you are not giving the product enough time to show results and totally end up wasting a whole lot of money on top of spoiling your own skin. (Tip:Use one product at a time. Buy a new one only when you finish them.)


2. Pinch,squeeze,touch my pimples
sigh...bad habit....i can't stand ripe pimples that i must squeeze them.
Ggrrrrrrrr.....i always unconsciously touch my face all the time and......because our fingers are normally dirty....it causes breakouts......gawd why am i still suffering from breakouts at this ancient age!???

3. Clumsily matched foundation
Well, sometimes i do make this mistake too especially when i buy new foundation and not quite sure of the tone. This is my peeves!! Wrong foundation color!!! I hate to see pretty women putting on makeup but is oblivious to the fact that their foundation is 2 tone lighter(or darker) than it should be...... duh....can easily see the contrast btwn your neck and your face loh.


4. Goes to bed without totally washing off all my make-up
A BIG nono......but sometimes I do that too when I am just too tired and konked out.........i even forget to take off my lenses sometimes. Bad bad bad.....Never ever do that......


5. Untouched eyebrows
Especially ladies with bushy brows.........trim trim trim...
But i for one is very bad at this. I dont know how yo shape my brows properly and i am very lazy to do it too. I wish i don't have to do my brows and go get myself inked(tattoo brows). But i don't like the looks of that either....too fake....

I've just recently been invited to the hubby's friends house. The couple just moved into a new Semi-D. And the place was huge! They have very minimal junks and mostly are new furnitures. Needless to say, their house looked so nice and neat. While visiting other's house, i couldn't help but to think about my own home. OMG. the amount of junks we have accumulated over the years. Not forgetting the old folks that likes to keep old junks....sigh...when can my house look as nice as theirs??? I really really do need a house make-over. Totally worth it!! I've been using Colorstay foundation for many years now but normally i use the other type in matte (black cap). I bought a couple of tones darker but oh well......foundation can always be blended......no sweat, just mix with a lighter tone foundation.

Eyeshadow Sticker

I was clearing up some of my old beauty loots on my small little plastic drawers and surprise-surprise i found this!!

I can't even remember when or where i bought this from. Definitely eons ago. I haven't got any chance to use them...a pity...because i would really want to know how well it sticks to the lids...and does it come off easily. This is perfect for party queens because the color will not fade and gives you glitters all through the night. Haven't got a chance to use them.....hopefully i'd get to try them out during some wedding dinners or something...

Wedding Invitation Cards

I just received another wedding invitation card and its another one in RED.
I guess its an auspicious color.....I've never seen any invites in black before! *chuckles*...i suppose nobody wants to jinx their own wedding.

Monday Blues

I think i should own this T-shirt. Mondays are such turn-off....where did my weekend go??!!
I didn't even get to go shopping.......My house chores are not done....pile of clothes unwashed....

Sasa Mascara

Remember the Sasa mascara that i bought? RM39.90 (20% discount)???
Well, very disappointing...
I wasn't impressed the first day i used it. However, i delayed my review since i was willing to give it a couple of shots....

After a few days of using them......i was disappointed.

The packaging was great!! it looks chic....and very pretty.......pink like the color of a sony vio! with nice motifs in white.
Two sided, 1 mascara base, the other in black.
Well, I have used Maybelline XXL mascara and it works wonders! Simply AMAZING!!!! though it is abit bulky for my liking.......Nonetheless Maybelline XXL is no.1 mascara on my list till now.

The second one of such (with mascara base on one end and color the other) that i've tried is of Silky girl. I was willing to give it a try because Silky girl was damn cheap. It does not work as well as the Maybelline XXL. However, it does make my lashes longer and is better than the one from Sasa.....and much cheaper also.....

The sasa mascara does nothing for my lashes. The makeup base does not elongate my lashes much at all.....
Of course it does what a mascara does.....blackened the lashes and all......and the good thing about it is that it does not become clumpy......
But i was unhappy with the effect.........its just a mehhhh for me.......anyone have better luck with it than me?

Fashion Schools

For the longest time ever in my life i've always wanted to study Fashion Design.
It is my desire to be able to design and manufacture my own line of clothings.
I wonder if this dream will still be achievable at my age...

Wouldn't it be great if during my those days that i know of fashion schools such as these
fashion schools in california? I would have jumped at the opportunity to study in California if i had known about fashion schools then. California has many fashion-focused areas, especially Hollywood with its influence on the film industry. If you are interested in learning in one of the leading fashion and trend-setting states, then you should consider California fashion schools.

I guess, it is probably too late for me to do that for my age.....and also family commitments. But for those who just got their SPM results, it is wise to choose something you are passionate about for your further studies. Otherwise, you might just regret your choice.

Apart from being a designer, a fashion graduate can also advance in their career as a Merchandiser. It is definitely a fun job because you get to travel a lot and shop for wonderful clothes...

Many department stores and boutiques offer entry-level 'buyer' positions that would be a good way to get involved with fashion merchandising. Fashion merchandising offers many avenues to follow, including the following:

• Assistant Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandise Stylist, or Customer Service Representative for a fashion manufacturer;
• Assistant Sales Manager or Showroom Sales Representative in the fashion wholesaling business;
• Department Manager, Assistant Buyer, Assistant Fashion Promotion/Special Events Coordinator, or Visual Merchandising Assistant for a fashion retailer;
• Buying Office Assistant for a resident buying office;
• Advertising Representative or Stylist for an advertising agency.

Young boys who ask for sex from their young partners are really selfish!!

I was reading perezhilton and he touched about the topic of STDs...

"One in four teenage girls in the United States has a sexually-transmitted disease(STD)"


After reading about it......i feel compelled to write something about SEX and TEENAGERS. Because sometimes, the young souls can be CLUELESS as to what they are getting themselves into.

Especially these days when Sex is increasingly rampant in the society. Teenagers with raging hormones wants to "grow up" faster than their physical growth.

Marriage these days.....i heard someone was telling me that the people from bridal shops says that 8 out of 10 weddings these days are due to wedlock (marry because pregnant).
Personally, I've seen two young girls that i know of who got pregnant at a very young age and forced to get married. My cousin sister too. Not to mention 2 out of my close highschool mates also....and not forgetting my classmate when I was in form 2 dropped out of school because she got pregnant......etc..etc.....wow...indeed the number is alarming.

I am very disturbed at this fact because as i am in my late twenties now, i've learnt alot about health and evermore, i've done pap smear(thank God i'm fine). Only after I read-up about cervical cancer did i realize that I am blessed that i do not live a wild life.

Coming back to my title. Young boys with their ranging hormones who forces young girls to have sex with them are very very selfish because they have no clue of its adversity of the situation they could cause these girls. (girls who willingly have sex too are getting themselves into trouble....)

Do you know that of the 10,000 women diagnosed annually in the United States with cervical cancer, nearly 4,000 of them die from the disease(source:womens health)

Factors that put women at risk for developing cancer of the cervix include:

• A high number of sexual partners, since this puts a woman at risk for developing hpv
• Early sexual activity: becoming sexually active before the age of 18 increases the risk of cervical cancer. This is because immature cells are more vulnerable to the cell mutation caused by HPV
• STDs: having other sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia or HIV/AIDS also puts you at greater risk
• Smoking: smoking results in a greater chance of the cell mutation related to cervical cancer
• Weak immune system: many women who contract HPV never develop cervical cancer while a weakened immune system caused by another health condition increases the risk of HPV infection leading to cervical cancer

I hope the point highlighted above will ding into teenagers head. I hope this little blog post that I've written will be educational for the young ones who read and stumbled upon my humble blog because........i feel very sad for those who are ignorant.

Planning for a holiday

Hubby told me that if we want to go for a holiday this year....i better shove it in this month while he is moderately free. Otherwise, come April onwards....we might not be able to fit any holiday into his schedule.

So........ with only about 2 weeks left....how can i plan for a good trip?!!!

But really, i thank God for the internet as Online booking really saves me alot of hassle.

One place that i would REALLY like to go is Hongkong. And I've been doing alot of research about it.

HotelReservations.com is great for me to book my hotel. I want to stay in kowloon area because all i want to do is shop shop shop!!! And its a surprise to me that some of the hotels offered here at hotel reservations is much much cheaper than others i've found from other hotel booking sites!
For example, Regal Oriental Hotel is only 92USD!! So far the cheapest i've found before this is 106USD! thats a huge difference!
They currently have discounts up to 70% and promises lowest rate. I'm impressed!
Well....i'm off to check out if i can secure a flight because it is school holiday season and its not easy to plan in such short notice....

If i can't make it this round, i'd probably check out the vacation packages and plan in advance.

Elianto Aqua Shadow

I recently bought an eyeshadow from elianto.
I did not intend to buy anything but the moment i saw it, i just fell in love with the color that i just have to get it.

Its called Aqua shadow, the color is aquamarine. A very rare color but bright and really gorgeous. Though i seldom put on eyeshadow, i still buy it because i love the uniqueness of the color. It is pretty easy to put on the shadow, but quite difficult to even out using the brush. I rather dab them on the eyes with the brush but even them out using my fingers. The texture of the color glides on easily. The color is bright but not too bright. It doesn't screams out even if you choose to use it for day.

I bought this at only RM15 from elianto counter. They have plenty other lovely colors to choose from too.

i know today is international women's day and being a women related blog i should blog something about it.....but then......i think i'm gonna write about something closer to the heart....because wow....it is really a very "kan cheong" moment for us in Malaysia.
8th March 2008 is history in the making....where Malaysians have spoken.......

Yup, the country's election day is today and we are eagerly anticipating the results now...
though we know that BN will surely win but......the nation is sending a clear clear message to the government. We mean business!!!

Beauty Purchase

I was not having a good day...and i guess my hubby could see that and so to lighten up my spirits....he asked me out to go shopping today. hehe...who says you can't still go on dates after being married?? :o)

I ended up spending quite sometime in Sasa and getting some beauty loots. I can't wait to use them and to review them too.

Clock wise, I bought
1. A facial blot. I've always wanted to get those powdered blots.....I remembered using them before and this is a really cool Japanese invention! Will review and talk about it more next post....
but it wasn't cheap at RM18.90. No discounts too...

2. Sasa Mascara
This is just toooooooo pretty to resist!!! pink and elegant design Mascara from Sasa. RM39.90 but with 20% discounts! its those double wand type with the base coat at one end, waterproof black at the other. I hope it doesn't dissappoint me! Was choosing between this and the Canmake mascara and the salesgirl recommended this one.

3. Kanebo Freshel White C facial wash
Its a whitening foam facial wash. I'm out of facial wash and i was using Garnier previously. I hope to try out Kanebo and the sales girl told me this is very sell able. RM26.60

4. This is something that i've seen on Taiwan beauty website!!! I'm so glad i saw it at Sasa!
You know whats that???? 4 pieces of miserable sponge! cost me RM12.80 man!!! and i bought 2 packs......heheeee
What are those for?????!!!! they are hair curlers. yup....
I've been meaning to get this for a long time but have never been able to find them....Finally!!! Thank You Sasa! i think i can be an official Sasa blogger....haha....almost all my beauty loots are from them ler.

I want to adopt David Archuleta!

OK......i admit........this weekend I've been spending ALOT of time "youtubing" American Idol....
I don't have time to catch it on TV lah........

American Idol this season is perhaps one of the best vocal wise....
and and and.....i just wanna adopt David archuleta!!! haha.....

omg.......he is just so innocently cute! and he can really sing so well.

I also like Jason Castro

because he genuinely likes music and singing........and he is cute! hate the hair though...

I don't like the others that much.......especially those with smarty ass attitude.....
I don't understand why people hate Simon so much.......he is just being genuine with his critic and no sugar coating! (i find myself agreeing with him most of the time) unlike Randy which is blueehhhh........so fake! Paula is always Miss Nice, but at least she is genuinely nice. I don't get the rocker David......why did he have to talk back at Simon like that......an aspiring singer should always be humble. I mean, Simon did play a BIG part in getting them up to the top24 in the first place..... I feel that they should show him some respect lo.....

erm......

I also like Carly and Brooke. :) Brook is Little Miss Sunshine! kekeke....
