Saturday Night Fever

ya, i started feeling hellish and the whole face turned red as tomato....the body felt like a furnace............
Yup i had fever. Started on Saturday night.
Sunday was really gruesome. Felt the chills and then hot....then cold.....then hot again....couldnt make myself eat too.

I didnt feel like seeing the doctor this time. Cos i already know what medicine i'd be prescribed.
And the funny thing is, i already took a day off on Monday since last week. Its like i knew i was going to be sick!!
Never have i once taken a day off from work for no particular reason this year and this is the first time i've done so. chey...... i was planning to go for a shopping spree and then go grosery shopping to cook dinner for the fiance. I havent time to cook for him for quite sometime now....sigh....all the plans remain as plans.....perhaps for the comming holiday....31st august maybe?

I called in to take another day off today. Just so i'd make sure i'm tough enough to go back to the warzone. I'm such a workaholic. I think i've overworked myself. At the moment i'm still rather groggy but feeling much better. I'm even working frm home now........pathetic? ney.......urgent matters need to be settled, i like to think i'm clearing off backlogs so that i wont be overly burdened when i go back to work tomorrow.

Shoe meme

Ok Jellygirl, im doing this well coz its fashion related meme. Any other meme baton passed to me will be kept as a momento just like the last one!!...kekeke

Total number of shoes you own:

OK this is hard. I dont count them bcos its scary. hehe. But i'd say around 50 of them the least.
Mostly sandals, i just adore sandals be it strappy heels or slip-ons. Everage about 2 inch heels. I love heels!! 3 inch is best. I only own like 5 pairs of court shoes cos i hate them, its so uncomfy. My favourite pair(court shoe) is my Scholls. I still have about 5 pairs of shoes that i havent worn since i bought them. I need the occasion and the right dress.

The last shoe you bought:

The last shoe i bought for myself is my alladin golden bead slippers. found here.
The last shoe mom bought for me is a white slip-on sandals. Will take a pic later.

How many shoes do you have under your work desk:

Hmmm.....i don't keep spare under my workdesk.
Ask me howmany shoes do i have in my car?!! 4!!!

5 people I'm passing the baton to:

5xmom (well cos im dying to know how does a mother of 5 maintain her fashion collection?)
skay(cos we have alot of things in common and i think she must have great shoes too)
twinsmom(cos she sew her own beads on em shoes!!!!)
cyber-red(cos shes got the aldos)

hmm......the 5th one suppose to go to Jayelle but she's in National Service......
anyway jayelle u can do this meme after your 3 months tenure!!! no hurries

in the mean time maybe i can pass this to Torment !!!
kekeke........im curious howmany pair of shoes does a guy have.

Loreal Brush Delice

I'm very much of a lipstick and foundation person ever since i've started wearing make-up. I hardly put on eyeshadows, eye-liners nor mascaras, blushes too.

I usually put on my foundation. Be it liquid based or creme based it doesnt matter as long as it smoothens the complexion and smoothes the skin. I absolutely adore lip glosses. I like to smack on lovely glossy pink gloss. Thats usually all that i do thus i dont take the usual 1 hour to get ready, I can do my make-up in 5 minutes. No sweat.

However, couple years ago i started to experiment on blushes and discovered that it is such a great invention!! haha....If applied perfectly it can create a very fresh and radiant look to your face, not forgetting the ability to slim down the cheeks too.

As i've currently mastered the art of applying blush its been part of my make-up routine eversince. Personally, i will never ever recommend anyone to buy compact blush that comes with small brushes that is of equal size with eyeshadow brushes. This is bcos well, it should never have been invented in the first place. Its a great big nono to use tiny brush to apply on your blush as it will definately appear awkward and clownish.

Blush is best applyed using a blusher brush (slightly smaller than powder brush). Every girl should have 1 at home. However, for a girl on the go like me, it is not wise and certainly
not practical to pack the huge brush in your purse so compact blush is the best alternative, therefore I've searched for a good compact blush with large brush.

Last year I was really glad because I found what i was looking for in Loreal Blush Delice.

Loreal Blush Delice is one of the best around. I love the fact that it is small and compact, the color is absolutely beautiful, when opened up you have quite a large size mirror intact which is great because it allows you to see your whole face. Plus id like to give triple plus points to the application brush!! Its just so wonderful. The brush is large enough to ensure smooth application and very soft too. This really help to apply blush to the cheeks evenly and creating a tint of pink radiance. Lovely lovely.

Maybe you can give it a try too! I know i love mine.

You know you're getting OLD when...

you go for games, and your knee hurts......

I play badminton for the sake of exercise like once a week. I know its not enough excercise playing just once a week but thats all that i can afford (time) for now.....

I've never had body aches before, not till recently.....
I use to be quite an active person. I don't really consider myself as an athlete cos i cant run!! serious....i'm always like the last or second last place if there is any race....I'd be alongside the fat lady although i was hardly fat.

However, i'm a girl for games. I use to play volleyball, basketball, badminton, handball and tennis back in school days. I was also pretty active in dancing be it traditional dance or modern dance. I'm also a gymnast. I use to represent my homestate in the rythmic gymnastics as i won the gold medal for the ribbons event in state level. Thus i would consider myself a pretty "flexible" person. So to speak.

Never have I ever thought that i would suffer aches here and there......sigh!!!!
As im writting this, my knee hurts!!!! arggh!!!!!!!

I'm...getting....OLD.....
as much as i hate to admit it......

:(
boohoo!!

Whats sexy in a man?

What traits of men you women out there find sexy?

I was visiting koolgeek's site and 1 of the commenters commented on him that she finds a man who can draw to be sexy. When i think about it....ya i think so too.

For me, what attracts me most in a man is his inclination to music especially those who can play the piano. oh my my ......totally melts the heart i tell you!!! I just love to see a man on the piano.............hehe......especially those "si man si man" geeky looking, gentlemenly type...LOL haha....i have weird taste no?(i dont quite like the maxim type though cos he look possessed hehehe...no offence to maxim n his fans).

When i reflect upon my past, almost all of the guys that i fall for usually plays at least 1 musical instrument. The first guy plays the guitar in church and he can play the piano and the drums too. Another guy from secondary school plays the piano, is rich(both parents doctors) and is smart n geeky looking n handsome kind. Then later
there is this guy whome i secretly admire for who knows how long also plays the piano and the keyboard. He looks like "Wang Lee Hom", totally handsome, like japanese cartoon drawing handsome. Lastly the guy before the fiance. He plays the piano n keyboard too. During my birthday he called me frm australia n played a song on his keyboard accompanied by his singing too. Such a romantic chap he is.

hehe almost all guys i like plays music somehow or another. Except the fiance. He probably can play a little guitar but i think i can play better. LOL. At least i went for lessons ma... Well, this time around, lets face the reality......im the one playing the piano for him to enjoy. Ouch.....

So gals, what traits would you like your man to have that you find sexy?

ps. comments from guys point of view are welcome too.

Will you wait for me?

He came. looking for me.... when i thought he was looking for someone else.
"You're looking for XX ?" i asked....
"No, i came to see you..........so how have u been?" he answered.
I was stunned.

He....The "guy before the fiance".
Thousands of thoughts went through my mind and none of it answered my question..

Why?!!

I hate that 3 letter word. I hate that feeling.....the feeling of having no answers.

He was my best friend. Before he left he asked me "Will you wait for me?". That question sent gazillion questions through my mind too. That time, i was young.....I really dont know if i could wait.....i don't quite understand what he ment......not like we are in a relationship or anything.......i don't know if he would find someone else when he
is so far away.........i don't know if i would find someone else......I tried long distance relationship.....it didnt work......i had my doubts.......is he the one?? he may not be???.......i have so many questions.....i have no answers.........so I answered sheepishly "whatever will be will be....lets just see what will happen". I got back at him at that, i had him leave with that thought left hanging.......
The truth is....i don't know. 4 years is a long time. Truth is....i didn't want him to go.....ironically, i was the one who encouraged him to go for it, get your masters. So clever of me.

Sometimes when i see him now i felt sorry.......i felt so bad......sometimes i still feel the warm fuzzy feeling when he talk to me.....
he is still single. After so long. 7 years long....

Why?....

Shopping for Korean stuffs in KL??

Yeah!! How cool is that?
See, me and the fiance chanced upon this place when one saturday. I wanted to pay bills in citibank so we thought of going to KLCC afterwards for dinner. However, the fiance thought to be adventurous and drove along jln ampang aimlessly after citibank to find a place for a fine dine.

So after the aimless drive we landed upon a place called err.....gosh i cant remember....something like Galaxy??? ya...something Galaxy.....LOL Sorry lah!!! im such a bad review writer. ho ho. (it was in May and i really forgot already untill i saw the pics i took on my pda and decided to tell malaysia about this awesome place)
[updated: okok...i feel bad left things hanging so i googled. Yes now i remember, the place is called Galaxy Ampang]

Anyhow, the entire complex is very empty and no fun to shop at all. But I found this little Korean Hypermarket to be facinating. The moment i stepped into the place i feel like a little girl entering Toys-R-Us. I dashed to the counter and get myself a basket and throng my way down the isles of korean food. Yummy....everything looks so delicous. I grabbed some of the items which i fancy, double check the prices and throw them in my basket. Frankly speaking i was expecting the price tags to be rocket high since everything is imported, but it really isnt. Pretty much like the price of the stuffs you normally buy from Watsons. So i guess its quite reasonable. The hard part is to identify the item contents. This is cos everything is in Korean!!! I'd just have to make do with some guesses and just "gasak" whatever my eyes fancy. hehe. Bought some cute cute bubblegums too.

The whole time i was there, i felt like i was in Korea. We even had Korean food there. Eventhough the place was not really that impressive(abit like self-service cafeteria layout), don't be fooled. The food surely taste good. And best part is its made by genuine Korean middle-aged lady and not some locally hired staff. Highly recommended if you ask me.

Bonus pic:
Korean food we had for dinner

Very yummy indeed. You can get your free plain water from the water dispenser too.

---------------------------

On a side-note,I was really dissappointed with the Tepanyaki Japanese Restaurant. I brought my parents to the newly opened Sri Hartamas complex and we ordered some food there. The food was cooked by 2 malay chaps and it totally taste like local malay cooking. No japanese flavour at all. Even the rice is local rice and not the japanese pearl rice. Very dissappointing indeed.

Berry Shiny

Went to 1Utama with The Fiance on thursday and i bought myself a matching pair of under garments(in Yellow and Green. I know i know!!!! eeeekss right?? but i assure you it looks greater than it sounds ok) and also bought a sports bra.

Later, i passed by the Maybelline counter and spotted something new. Its the "Water Shine Gloss".
They don't have any testers yet since its new so I spotted this one.

(Water Shine Gloss from Maybelline- color=Berry Shiny) ps. notice pps at my laptop screen?

The color is called Berry Shiny. Only cost about RM18.90 so what the heck....... Lets give it a try. The verdict? Berry berry good. Of course since its a gloss, the color isnt that strong. You can perhaps put a little lipstick base on first and smack the gloss on-top to make it lasts. Else, it'll work great just gloss alone cos can still see the color. It feels great on the lips. Been using it the whole day. But the trouble is you really have to keep reapplying it again and again and again bcos it wears off easily.

Hmmm...seems that i buy lotsa maybelline huh? Well ya i guess so cos its pretty affordable within its range.
And oh some updates on the Mascara's. Remember the limited edition Lash Discovery?? Ya i bought them all!!! yes all 3!!! haha......paiseh paiseh(blush blush). OK, My opinion?? forget about the Fuchia...what a let-down. The color is dull and very diluted....cannot even see the color. The Gold one is nice enough to add glitters to your eyes. The bronse?? I bought it but i couldnt be bothered to open it. Its just sitting there in my drawer. I don't plan on opening it so soon lest it drys up before i actually get to use them. SOoooooooooooo, i'm still hunting for a cool electric blue mascara. I used to have 1 from maybelline too. It was fantabulous!!!!!!! lotsa great compliments when i put them on. Can't seem to find the particular model anymore.

Current Mission:
1.hunt for electric blue mascara
2. Stila limited edition lip gloss

Beaded Slippers

The Beaded slippers or aladdin slippers as i call it is the latest in-thing. So being the kiasu fashionista that i am. I just must own one too. (actually i own 3 pairs already but this is the exact type that I've been longing for..hehee....*blush*).

Bought this lovely sequined slippers last week at the newly opened Hartamas Shopping Complex. The place itself is not really that fancy. Nothing much to see let alone to shop.
I went to some of the shops and found an exact same pair of shoes like the above at one of the shops retailing at RM59.90. There wasnt any discount thus i left the shop eventhough i tested it and found it to be most lovely. Later I came to this shop called XES and lo and behold the exact same pair of shoes!!! but of a different brand. This time RM39.90 only!! woohoo..... I immidiately decided to buy them after getting my size. I'm usually a size 6 but for this pair it kinda look a little smaller thus i settled for a size 7.

Love the beads. Loved the color it looks so serene and soft when i wear em. Also the rounded front made it very comfortable too.

here is a close-up on the sequins. You must love them!!! I know its my current favourite pair of shoes!!! err....right after my silver min min's of course!!(not quite over it yet) ;)

PS: oh and i've just realized that XES is SEX spelled backwards. Hmmm........nowonder its called XES Appeal. Ooohlalaa.....

My Silver Flats

My precious Silver blink-blink shoes from 1 of the shops at Bugis Street in Singapore. Muahaha......looks abit "ahlian" no? But actually i do feel that the pictures does no justice to this beauty. Its so very much prettier especially on my feet. Teehee....

Updated (3rd July 05):

Yup,as promised I've loaded the pic i took from my PDA. Resolution is not very good but it'll do. Ya, this silver flats are from my recent trip to Singapore. Its the Min Mins!! haha...... a bad attempt at immitating the Miu Miu I know.... But still cant resist it. Initially it was priced at about SGD 29 but i manage to bargain to SGD 20, which to me is pretty reasonable. Muahahaha.....used my "petaling street" negotiation skills on the "bugis street" shop. It works like a charm.... and i got my lovely silver flats!!!! Woohoooo!!!!
