All Kinds Of Everything

Do you like my new header? hehe.....spent a little time doing this today. I thought I need a new banner for the new year and .....I like the bright flower petals. Makes me feel cheery and all. Kinda reminds me of a song......

"All Kinds Of Everything"

Written by Derry Lindsay & Jackie Smith

Snow drops and daffodils, butterflies and bees
Sailboats and fishermen, things of the sea
Wishing wells, wedding bells, early morning dew
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

Seagulls and aeroplanes, things of the sky
Winds that go howling, breezes that sigh
City sights, neon lights, grey skies or blue
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

Summertime, wintertime, spring and autumn too
Monday, Tuesday, every day, I think of you.

Dances, romances, things of the night
Sunshine and holidays, postcards to write
Budding trees, autumn leaves, a snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

Summertime, wintertime, spring and autumn too
Seasons will never change the way that I love you.

Dances, romances, things of the night
Sunshine and holidays, postcards to write
Budding trees, autumn leaves, a snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

Do I desire?

Inspite of me secretly desiring to "change-line" <--literally translated frm mandrin meaning change of trade, i still went for the interview. Same line(industry), similar workload, boring ol' IT me. But a bigger title, bigger role and of course bigger pay cheque(This i like. heh....)
sigh.....
I do want to get the job and i hope so i get it. But, if i get it will i take it? Now THAT needs me a decision making tree.

I'm comfortable where I am at now but the ambitious nature in me just wants more. 4 years is indeed a long time staying put. But do I still want to continue in this line? Or do I want to venture into something totally different. Gee sometimes I can be pretty fickled.

Ya know what, I really really want to go into Beauty & Fashion industry. But without the experience, who would wanna take me in ??!!! I guess i'm stuck in this industry. The one made up of only 2 numbers. 1 and 0.

Thanks to those who wished me luck. For your information the interview went pretty OK. To me, i think i did not kick @ass. Rather dissappointed that I lack some factor that they were looking for (different background). Other than that the guy was pretty impressed with me as a person. The friend who was the introducer told me there were no negative comments and sounded positive. Anyhow, I'm undecided. I saw the criteria, the role and the expectations. Geeewizzz.......its gonna zap the life out of me man!!!! Do I really want this? Do I really??

Ta bao my lunch and thinking

I ta paoed for lunch today so that gives me some freetime during lunch hour to blog.

mmm.....haven't the mood to work today. I'm going for an interview tomorrow and i'm getting the jitters even mentioning it. Its been awhile, I never have problems with interviews because I rawk in the personality department. But when it comes to test on "knowledge", that i'm a little weary.I need to read more. If i get this job its gonna be a big break for me. Its an MNC. The interview has been set with the MD,Asia. oh boy tonight is gonna be a sleepless night.

I have mix feelings. A little part of me wish i dont get the job, but a bigger part of me wants it so badly. But its a big role. I may not have enough experience required. Nonetheless, nothing ventured nothing gain. I have to try somehow. Besides, i din apply for the job. I was introduced. That'll give me an upperhand, i hope. Its gonna be early in the morning. I'd most probably be the first candidate. Is that to my advantage??

Now lemme start thinking which power office suit to wear tomorrow......

This season I'm into Tube Glosses

I've talked about the SilkyGirl juicy fruity brush-on lip gloss the other day which i really gave plus points for the price and the brush. However, the texture of the gloss is rather ok. Skay mentioned about it making her lips crack. Honestly, after a couple of weeks trying them, i too realized that it does make my lips crack a little. Nonetheless, i still think its a good bargain. Com'on what can you expect for RM9.90 right??

Prior to buying the silkygirl. I've been using this one (inset) from Estee Lauder. I know i've been talking alot about Estee Lauder. Can't help it ma, its my favourite brand werr..... And i'm not being paid to write good reviews for them, i just happen to like their stuffs alot. I don't really know howmuch is this Estee Lauder Pure Pops Lip Gloss is retailing at because i got this for free. Texture wise, this tube is really lovely, very moists and does not make your lips crack at all. The scent is also very nice with sweet fruity fragrance. Although i would really love for it to have an applicator brush attached to the tube. Other than that, its absolutely gorgeous applied as top coat for the pouty lips affect. Or, for a simple day out, just apply it by itself.

About Colored Contact Lenses

I first started to use colored contacts 7-8 years ago.
I SOOOOOOOOOOO wanted the blue one but i was too conservative to try thus i chose a more subtle color, much closer to my original eyecolor. The color Hazel. My eyecolor is brown. Dark brown la but sometimes under the sun, i kinda look like mix. Even without my lenses people ask me if i was wearing colored lenses. The hubby, he likes staring into my brown eyes and tried to guess where i got those from because his eyes are black....pure chinese cinamen BLACK. kekeke.......So eventhough i assured him that i'm pure chinese, he always wondered if i was somehow a "kacukan". Perhaps somewhere down the family history got some mix la....But as far as i know, both sides are chinese, both maternal & paternal grandparents are chinese too. Great grandparents?? er....duno but i think so is chinese la. But then, hailing from up north, mom told me we may have some mix either malay or thai. I really dont know the history but ya....i don't look chinese. Looking mix makes it much easier to adorn the colored lenses. It doesnt appear that much obvious so that i don't feel too selfconscious..

I loved all my colored lenses. I''ve been using them once awhile especially during special occasions. So far i've tried Hazel, Grey and Purple. All these 3 colors are fantastic. I remembered once i was at a petrol station waiting for my ride when this guy walked pass me. He walked quite a distance, then he turned around and walked back to my direction. He came up to me and told me " i just wanted to tell you, that color looks nice on you (pointing at my eyes)" i was wearing the purple one. He then added " I bet brown looks even nicer". I was taken by surprise that a stranger would come up and talk to me that way but i was quite happy about it. Oh okay, i din know what to say la but i did manage a thanks for the compliment.

Anyway, I used the one in grey on the wedding day but the simvue lenses that supposed to last me 3 months was torn in 1 month. Chey......I think i'm gonna get me a blue one this time. Haven't tried it but i think i'm up for it! I hope i don't look scary....teehee.. Oh, the one i bought normally costs between RM70-RM90 and lasts for about 3 months or so. If you havent tried colored lenses and want to try one, i'd recommend going for the grey color. Its really very nice, makes you look like you have dreamy eyes.

Got your new clothes already??

One question i get alot during Chinese New Year season is "You got your new clothes already ah?"

oh my lordy dordy how i hate that question!!!!!

Since primary school i ALWAYSSSS get that question. And girls being girls almost always compare how many CNY new clothes you've got. Normally back in those days, the usuals are at least 3 pairs lah. But some banyak punya aksi girls will show off that oh my mom got me 7 this year....and 1 year i remember that 1 particular girl in school told us "oh my mom got me 15 this year." We were like wahlaueh..... and so malu to tell ppl i got only 5....which is already alot loh cos i'm the only daughter. Others who have lotsa siblings one can only afford like 2 each? i dunno.....those were the days. These days howmuch is the standard?? I lost track...

chey.........actually no big deal la. If i rampage through my heaps of clothings from my wardrobe, i'd be able to salvage 15 new clothes i haven't worn EASILY!!!!! kekeke.....my bad, i have a habit of buying clothes and never wearing them only to give them away when i change my taste of clothings.

1 thing about me. I stopped buying clothes for CNY since quite sometime ago. This is because i buy new clothes throughout the year. I'm not into wearing CNY red red color chikalongtongchiang clothes......EEeeeeee..... Furthermore, I once bought a new year clothes only to be wearing the SAME clothes with this other girl!!! ARGGHHHH!!!!! needless to say i never wore that baju more than 2 times. (only wear it when mom forced me to). I'm the kind that likes to be different and unique so i get rather upset when i see other ppl wearing the identical clothings. hehe......

Howbout u? buy your new clothes already ah???

Shitake Mushroom

SHITake Mushroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe....just wanted to say that.....I've found a great new swearword replacement. ;) SHITAKEEE(read: shit-ta-ki)!!!!!

been "ahchoooing" like a crazy mad women yesterday. Had a bad flu. Went over to guardian pharmacy to get some panadol for flu after work. They don't let me buy them cos the pharmacist is not around wor. The panadol is just right infront of me leh!!!!! Grrrrr.....why do i need a pharmacist, its just as clear as the packet states. Panadol for Cold and Flu. There's 2 type. 1 for drowsy(for night) and another non-drowsy(for day). I don't need a medical degree to understand basic english, i should be able to record my particulars and get a pack. Even if i try to kill myself swallowing 10 pills at a go, doesnt mean that i would change my mind if i buy them from a pharmacist . Newayz, went home and found a pack of unfinished drowsy tablet. Yey!! ate half a bread and pop 2 pills. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Woke up real early this morning. I feel much better already. Thats y i'm early to work today.

Other Random stuffs:

1. Just realize i dont' quite like the smell of the Dior moisturizer i talked about 2 post before. Smells flowery.....like ahma kinda flowery scent. kekekeke

2. Ooo and i din eat dinner last night. Felt great about that! Felt hungry this morning so went over to Shell station and got myself a cup of mashed potato from the machine. kewl.....

3. Still no trace of my missing dior lipgloss. I guess i've lost it. Shitake!!!

4. Some of u may have realized that i seldom ping pps anymore. Reason is bcos i'm trying to keep a low profile. Just realized the Dad and the bro and some colleagues read blogs. shhhhhhh........

Juicy Tube Gloss

What does this blog lack??

Photos!
I know!!!......still using my trusted PDA camera so the resolution is pretty bad.
Although i got my wish come true. I got an exilim as 1 of the wedding gift! hurrah!! Now i gotta actually START using it. heh....

Yesterday I bought myself a tube gloss from SilkyGirl.
I normally don't like drugstore cosmetics but silkygirl(previously wet n wild) is exceptional. The product is great. Really. You've gotta try it to believe it, i've tried their lipgloss to eyeshadow to face powder, all pretty impressive. Yes, the packaging kinda sucks. Hehe....I don't fancy their plasticky pink lipstick casings. blueek.... And lately the lipgloss with swirly glasslike plasticky looking packaging makes it look very cheapskate. I don't know about you but thats just me.I really hope they work on their packaging. However, if you actually use the products, its actually good, coupled with excellent pricing.

Came across the new Brush on Lip-Gloss. I bought the one in Berry Punch 06. The fact that I love it? Its got a brush applicator attached to the tube!!! A+++ to that!! And another A+++ to the pricetag at RM 9.90 each. Tried it today, notbad i'd say. Other than that, i also bought the Funky Eyelights Pencil in Metallic Bronze 06. Works great as eyeliner or you can work it well as an eyeshadow.

Christian Dior Moisturizer Lotion

I've been putting alot of make-up on lately due to the occasion and one thing i don't like about putting thick make-up is that it tends to make my skin dry and sometimes may cause breakouts. It is very important to protect your skin before putting on your make-up, which is why professional make-up artists make you buy those ampules that costs like 40-50 ringgit per application?? Now we can't all afford to apply ampules everytime we put on our make-up cant we?

Anyway, a good day moisturizer is essential pre-makeup. However, personally i do feel that any moisturizer will do, it doesnt have to be the real pricey types, you can get a decent day moisturizer from any drugstore for less than 10 ringgit or so. I've used the one from johnson&johnsons, not bad. Nivea or Ponds have some lovely face cream too.

Eversoft have something called tinted moisterizer, I've used it and i liked it when i want to just go out but not putting up too much make-up, I'll just use that and skip the foundation. Which is good because it has a certain amount of SPF that protects the skin from harmful rays. Apart frm that, it evens out the skintone. However, it doesn work for people with lots of blemishis or uneven skintone to cover-up as the lotion is pretty watery, but it should work well for those with fine/not too bad skin. Other than eversoft, i accidentally found another brand called PAN+ (i think ...cant remember the name) distributed at Sinma outlet in 1Utama. Its a US product, kinda look like the cheapy stuffs that i wouldnt ever use on my face, but i don't know what makes me try it!! The verdict is...i'm impressed. Especially the Post-Care cream for pimples. I normally use Oxy if i have breakouts but ever since i tried this new brand, i think its like a miracle cream! I works really well!! I'll do another review on that later.

My current daily face lotion is now the Dior No Age Essential Progress Fluid SPF 8
I bought this during the previous Dior warehouse sale at 80 ringgit only. Normally would cost about 200-300 ringgit. I don't think so i'd be buying it again at 200-300 ringgit unless its the warehouse sales again, i'd most definately grab a bottle or two. 80 ringgit is a steal!

"An age-defense refining fluid that contains SPF8. SPF8 offers mild protection against the sun. Visibly helps diminish the appearance of fine lines. Instantly provides a sensation of relaxation & comfort. Achieves a flawless & translucent appearance. Suitable for all skin types. " I quote from Cosmeticmall.com

ps. look at my lovely lilac manicure!! hehe....

Datuk Michelle Yeoh is no typical lady

I think so that way when i saw her in the trailer of Memoirs Of Geisha together with zangziyi. AGAIN.

Thats because, well from what i saw while they were doing Crouching Tiger, i thought that zangziyi really outshine Michelle. Even the credits given to zangziyi was wayyyy wayyy more. And if I could say so, i'd think a normal hollywood actress would have freaked out and throw in a tantrum or two and probably ended up not being friends with each other and will never accept another role alongside the other person.

Well, Michelle is different. I guess its because she is a Malaysian. We are usually humble. I guess in a way, I'm proud of her and that i think those bullimic girls in hollywood should learn a thing or two from her.

Fashion Courses Available in Malaysia

OK. I just realized that I should make this post because some of you girls out there may be deciding /enrolling for college and all. I may be a little late, but its still not too late if you wanna change your mind ok.

I've always wanted to study fashion. I don't know why i ended up in the IT industry.
I initially wanted to study Interior design. And then i decided to go for graphics design but later when i saw many subjects with -FREE HAND SKETCHING. I totally chickened out. hehe....Thats because i cant really draw all that well la, plus i was in pure science and havent done art like since so longggggggggggg ago. hehe....
It was also probably due to too much IRCing and ICQing that time that made me wanna study computers. i don't know....

Somehow, although i don't regret my decision. I still wish that i can someday study fashion design. I use to work part-time at a gift shop during my college days. And 1 of my collegue was doing fashion design. Sometimes she come over straight after classes and there was once she brought her final year project along. It was a wedding dress!! Ohmygoodness it was beaaaauuutiiifuullllll!!! I admired her so much.

Fashion courses are virtually unknown. Especially amongs elderly Malaysians where the mentality is. Har?? study fashion ah? can make money meh????? Parents usually discourage their children to study these subjects like fashion, music, art.... Everyone wants their children to be a doctor, lawyer or engineer. (top 3 list) But they never realize that time has changed. Doctors are nolonger the highest paid profession anymore. I bet my Dior that Jimmy Choo earns x10000 times more than an average doctor here.

Anyways, cutting my story short. I'd like to list down the below courses as an option for those who perhaps are keen to be in the industry. Or maybe those who cant' quite perform well in other subjects, why not study fashion? Its easy as long as you have the passion and the creativity. Also, some may just want to take up the courses part-time, who knows. So i've leave you with these URL. Take a look.

Finally saw the show on DVD.
Can't say i like the show very much but i absolutely enjoyed looking at smokin hot Jolie.

I WANT HER HAIR!!!!!!

I think i enjoyed watching her throughout the show than Mr.boyboy Pitt.

Great Year 2006 will be!

I just realized I havent posted anything this year. Sorry to be 4 days late but Happy New Year folks!!!

Friends commented that I lost some weight. Ya, been dieting and skipping meals pre-wedding n all......i dont know why I didn't manage to loose the weight during/before the wedding but only started seeing the difference now!! Talking about slow...sheeeshh........ work with me now body....*rolls eyes*

heh....lost about 5kgs i estimated(ya im no typical girl who weights themselves every day....i hate the scales!). Yippiey!!!! well, thats still not counting the 5 kgs i intend to loose this year as per my new year resolution. ;) That'll bring me back to my weight about 7 years ago in college days. kekeke
Been eating normal these days so i would presume i'd gain about 1kg in no time. gahh.........plus all the "extra" "forgiveable" once a year celebration makan. ok ok .....i know...excuses to indulge ....but its christmas & new year weyyyyyy!!! excuseable what.....

I wanna go to a romantic getaway with the hubby before the actual honeymoon. Where can I go locally??? I love PD Avillion (i know u'd suggest that skay....been there already ..hehe) But other than that, where else can i go? I want somewhere near. I found out about Tanjung Jara Resort which looks very attractive. But a little too far. Bukit Tinggi?? errr.....don quite like. Frazers n Cameron is nothing new. Anybody have suggestions?
