Fashion Inspiration

Recently I rummage through my heaps of clothings and manage to dispose off quite a few stack of clothes. Most of the time i just pass them over to my cousins because my "old" clothes are normally never old at all. hehe....some i've perhaps only worn once or twice. So the darlings just loveeee my clothes and they'll be beaming with smiles whenever they see them coming. Soooo, its all for a good cause, i getto rid off clothes i'm nolonger fond of to make room for new clothes!! Yey.....I'll have more excuses to go shopping.

I confess that since i got married i've developed a new sense of style/preference for daily wear. I wouldnt want to say that I've "aged" but I'm now really into "elegant+chic" look instead of the "cute+sweet" look.

Below are some that i've taken into liking from browsing through eLuxury. Of course, the price may scare you but then again, we are just window shopping here anyway.....

DKNY
Georgette Wrap Blouse $175.00

Fashionasia: I just love wrap-around blouse, wrap-around skirts....wrap-around anything actually.

Fashionasia: ok no details about the dress coz i forgot to cut and paste. Actually, i don't quite like the pattern all that much but i just love the cutting of this skirt. And look at that sandals!! I Want!!!

James Perse
Ribbed-Waist Jersey Dress $135.00
SALE PRICE: $95.00

Fashionasia: Do you think this is just totally a Michelle Yeoh look?? Hehe......Cant help but really like the way this dress can pass off as formal or casual. For a more formal look, just put on a brooch or a chain belt and walla... Not to mention it looks really comfy too.

Robert Rodriguez
Hand-Crocheted Tie-Front Cardigan
$319.00

Fashionasia: I think this is my favourite. Very chic! I just cant resist ribbons!! Andddd i just have a thing for black and white.

I have something to wrap-arounds that i find very irrisistable thus the 1st DKNY blouse totally got me inspired to buy something like that. Incidentally, i went shopping yesterday and had bought something pretty similar frm the Reject Shop!! And its only RM13. What a bargain. I also bought a kebaya top in maroon with tie-em-up lace infront. It is TO DIE FOR!!! soooo gorgeous. Though a tad pricy at 59.90 but I can't help it. :) I also bought myself a pair of Pierre cardin shoes at 50% off!

Friday and Ferrari

Is it Friday yet? Nope its Tuesday

Is it Friday yet?? Nope its Wednesday

Is it Friday yet??? Nope its Thursday....

oh yey......2morrow is Friday already!!!! I can't wait.......been sooooooooo busy I kept asking myself the above questions for the past 3 days....... I desperately need some rest.

On an unrelated note,
a neighbour of mine had recently aquired himself a flashy new Ferrari. Fuhlamaaakkkk........chun!!!!!

However, i noticed the car is under utilized. hehe......
Its normally in the porch and the owner only takes it for a spin around the neigbourhood during the weekends.

The Ferrari is a VERY LOUD car!!!
Every Saturday or Sunday morning, while i laze in bed, I can hear the turbo engine running while the owner starts the car and left it running for a couple of minutes. I can feel my bed vibrating can!? err....that doesnt come out right...haha........

Rizalman Ibrahim

Greetings from Rizalman Ibrahim Group of Companies Fashion Asia,

We are pleased to extend an exclusive invitation to our loyal customers to our SALE from 10th February to 10th March 2006 at selected outlets. Get fabulous discounts and enjoy great buys during this period.

Thanks,
ZXXXXXX

----------END----------------

I received the above mentioned email recently. So Rizalman is having sales. Woohooo!!!

In case you don't know, Rizalman Ibrahim is one of our local Malaysian designer who actually made it to the top in this industry. OKOK, not like I HAVE bought any of his collections. But I ALMOST did.

Ya see, while preparing for THE wedding, I had initially wanted/prefered to custom make my gown. 2 Local designers that i've enquired of are
1.Rizalman
2.Beatrice Looi
(Beatrice is another darrlinggggg....but i'll leave her for another post)

I fell in lurveeee with 1 of Rizaman's bridal gown collection. If not mistaken should be 2005 collection.

OK, gimme a sec while i look for the picture from my harddrive. ah.....here it is......Let me show you the picture.....

Lovely isnt it??? I don't know what is the ummphhh factor that got me gaga over this dress but i guess its partly the photography, partly the tie-em-up ribbon, partly the tiara. But all in all, I tot this is THE PERFECT wedding dress for me!!!!
So I had wanted to custom-make the exact same dress thus I enquired the price. To make this baby would cost me approx 5k. :)

hehe.....not that the price IS the factor because If i had insisted for it, hubby dearest would gladly allow me to have it. However, time did not permit as I was totally running out of time. Plus, I was "ding-donging" in my mind if i should do it or not (get the dress done).

In the end, futunately for hubby dearest, I decided against it la, I wouldnt have enough time to get it made on-time for my photography session anyway.

Nonetheless, I think rizalman's creations are pretty cool, although you are most likely not able to get Rizalman HIMSELF talking to you as he got his people to do all the PR and the sales and stuffs, so personality wise I have no idea how is he, But if you see his picture in his website http://www.rizalmanibrahim.com.my/html/intro.htm He is kinda cute :)

Soooooo, if you like couture, if you have the $$$, head over to rizalmans and tell him Fashionasia sent you!!!

err.....if he say Fashion who???? just ask him to remember the name la.......and gimme more discounts....kekekke

Bruaahaha..... he had to oblidge la no choice, just to be a filial son and allowing me chance to be a fillial dotter outlaw. heh. Although a little bruise to the purse but it was worth it. I absolutely LOVE Disney on Ice I've seen it a few times before and it almost always make me feel like a little child again. Nikki The Maharani

OK I seldom do this.....pimping.... But I have my exceptions occasionally. ;)

Remember Nikki??? er... No? Neh......the Malaysian Idol 1 finalist that sang like Mariah Carey??
aaahhhh..........remember huh?? well yes of coz you remember because her audition video clip was circulating around like a sprouting virus during MI1. Remember the Roslan Jaw dropping scene?? Well, ya ....I did THE SAME TOO. Come on now, how many Malaysians you know can actually sing like Mariah Carey and actually reach the high notes?? Nada, zilch!! I tell ya, Im totally impressed with the girl. Although I did not follow the episodes of MI1 nor MI2 for that matter. But i totally thought she would at least make it to the final 3.

Anyway, to cut the long story short. I accidentally bump into her new official site through a friends blog-->to aflinshauki's blog--> to an unofficial nikki site--> to this site http://www.nikkimusic.com.my/
(OKOK...im too free....its 7.20pm and im still in the office waiting for my ride :P)

Newayzz....Nikki released her new album not long ago. The album cover was.....er.......so so. The make-up is bluearrghh.... her dress was unimpressive.... But when i click on the nikki playa . Hmm....not bad lah the girl. The album is called Maharani. RM29.90. Belilah Original yo'!! ;) Support lah sikit. I actually like her voice very much. Check it out.

footnote: ok nikki music, i curi the pic frm ur site. If tak boleh lemme know i take it down.

Paper Soap

Went to sasa the other day and I bought this.
Actually its for me to keep and for hubby to use. Hubby is very hygenic and when I saw this Mini paper soap. I thought its perfecto!! Just what he needed. Of course I have to keep them in my handbag wheever we go lah cos he sure wouldnt be caught dead having this in his pocket.
The fragrant is nice, flowery scent. Havent tried them out yet so I don't know if it is to be recommended but it costs only RM4.90.

Other than that, I also bought a silkygirl eyeliner in navy blue. This is because the mom borrowed my black one and It never did return. :p
Its quite nice actually because its those retractable type and you dont need to keep on sharpening. RM14.16 from sasa.

Romantically Yours

I've been tagged to do a meme by JeremyC. Buttt........ i don't see how my answers would be interesting because sadly I never did celebrate Valentines day all my years..... so I'd pass. Heh......I oni do meme's that I like.......like the one with "howmany SHOES do you own??" kinda meme.... kekekeke

So to make it up to those eagerly waiting for my answers to the meme, Id like to provide my answer to pu3 punya question, in conjunction with this romantic day.

"What is the most romantic thing someone ever said to you?"

To me, it was an SMS the hubby sent to me.

We were already engaged at that time, slightly about a year ago that was during last years CNY time. We went for a trip to a beach resort in kuantan.

So we had a blasts of a day at sea, the tide was really high and there were like almost 50 of us friends swimming in the sea. It was a whole lot of fun for everyone was holding everyone's hand both sides because it was really a scary tide!!! sort of like a mini tsunami. I held on to hubby's huge palm, him holding my tiny palm ever so tightly....and we would jump on the count of 3 whenever the wave approaches. That is because if we don't jump, we would most likely be swallowing lots of sea water la.

Anyhoo, at night before we went to bed, i received an SMS. (i was in a room of 3 with galpals and he was in another room with guypals). Hubby sent the most beautiful thing
"The wave is strong, as I hold your hand, our love is stronger"
I smiled, a wide smile and fell asleep with these words in my head. So sweet indeed.
To me, I treasured it very much as the hubby is not the romantic kind ya know. All 7 years with him, I've known and grown to accept that he is Mr.Practical, hardly Mr.Romantic. So this is a total shocker to me. Needless to say i still kept the SMS in my handset. Dated 11 Feb 2005.

Syrup juice from Canned fruits + Ribena = BLUE+PURPLE ???? whatde??

*3rd post for the day!! wow...that sure is rare............heh.....today no appointment ma....free a little*

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday FIL opened a can of mata kuching (I have no idea what brand).

Hubby, me and FIL eating...gulp gulp.....finish. *Wipe mouth*

Then, I saw that there is a little syrup left and some ice so I thought, Dont waste lah.
Soooooo, I poured some Ribena and added water and keep inside the fridge.

Later at night, MIL asked who made the ribena .....she say she drank 3 cups.....yum...think she liked it.

I thought, wow, must be very nice loh........

So i took the left-overs from the fridge and poured into a WHITE color mug.............and GOODNESSS ME!!!!!!!
Its horrible!!! The RIBENA totally changed color. It was PURPLE!!!!! i know i know, Ribena is suppose to be purple duh!!!!
But noonono, trust me, it was like BLUEish and PURPLElish and....yucks...looks like water color.

I quickly pour away all the left over and rinse the tupperwear.

I dare not tell MIL what she drank ....gulp...........

*fashionasia whispers: shhhh.......u dun tell i dun tell, sweep it under the carpet k.*

Somebody with chemistry background care to tell me what kinda chemical reaction just happened back there?

GBUY

kekekeeke......

GBUY is the so called Paypal Killer by Google. Google Inc was building their own Internet payment service.

http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB113918924045565647-jtBYW5A_4ZI6WZiwUaUJNSbVAQI_20070206.html

I just knew about Gbuy today. I was reading the news and i was trying to pronounce Gbuy and i read it outloud and .......it came out rather funny....
Later, i let out a slight giggle as i flush.....to myself ...
erm.......it does sound like the obscene swear word hor??????

Can't wait for these fashion to be over

TWO fashion I can't wait for the craze to be over.

1. Bubble Skirt

2. Mini Cardi

No doubt these two fashion are the current fashion craze but I really really really don't like them at all. Yes, you MAY look pretty in it but it doesnt work on ALL body types.

Bubble skirts. Only look good on SLIM and LONG legs. Legs that go on forever and ever and ever.....no prob, you will be able to work it, but pls put on some heels, not nessessary stillettoes but a little heel is good enough.
If you have short and fat limbs, please refrain from wearing bubble skirts. It will only make you ever more short and stumpy. If you have bow legs, pleaseeeeeee try not to wear bubble skirts for it will only make you look like Mary Poppins ready to be flown away by the slightest breeze.

Secondly, the mini cardigans. Well, this is rather tolarable. I bought 1 last year but its actually a 2 piece thingy with the spagetti strap and mini cardi of the same color. The KEY word here is "of the same color". It looks nicer if the 2 piece you're wearing is off the same color, or of the similar tone. You see, a sharp contrasting color like the above pic doesnt work too well for certain body types, especially if you have a longer torso. It WILL make your torso look longer and suprise suprise, your leg shorter!!! Yes really, and if paired with flats will totally totally make you appear disproportionate. But of course, some say it will elongate those with short torso but i really dont know. It just doesnt work for me, when i see short/chubby chics with short torso wearing them, I thought they appeared even shorter, even chubbier and even shorter torso. Well, maybe its just me but i really dont like them and i hope to see it gone....the sooner the better.

The V word and my romantic tale

V-day. Loathed by all male species and all single female species.

heh...The people that love this day the most are florists and gift shop owners.

Howabout Ms.Fashionasia? Nope, never celebrated Vday for many years now. If considering my time with Mr.Fashionasia, it would be 7 years now this year.

I guess most trill I had was during my days in highschool (or secondary school the way malaysians call it). Being rather popular myself ahem..... normally Vday is the time where I receive cards from secret admirers but i never did receive roses except for my birthdays la. Why leh??? Id like to tell you mushy stories but then, i wouldnt want this friend of mine who happen to blog n read my blog too (You know who you are, yes you SC!) to laugh at me :P

Nontheless, since its the romantic season. I'd like to share my romantic story.
Lets see, Ms.Fashionasia digs through her memory bucket for a romantic story.....hmm....okay, this did not happen during Vday la but it was on my bday. But nevermind, i still think its the sweetest thing a boy could ever do.

Ya see, I used to be a prefect and thus i arrive real early to school every morning. This particular morning on my birthday, I arrived school early as usual. Not many ppl in my class yet cept for a couple of my fellow prefect comrads. I was greeted with smiles and grins when i stepped into class. I thought, hmmmmmm....why the funny look on their faces.... Then i walked to my desk. FUHHHYOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I had a shock of my life. My desk!!! (Ya know those old school wooden table, slightly woggly table) It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautifully decorated I almost choked. I don't know if i was happy or what but I was TOTALLY EMBARRESSEDDDDDDD..... my face turned red as tomato instantly. I cant remember exactly how it looked like because I hurried to remove all the deco's before MORE people come into class la....
The desk was neatly wrapped up with beautiful wrapping paper and sprinkled with lovely dried roses petals.... there were wordings and sorts all covered up neatly with a transparent plastic cover, nicely thumbtacked to the desk. Aiyohhh if i actually had the hots for the guy I would most probably melt. Also, there were chocolated tucked in the desk drawer of course. Aiyo so sayang to have them removed, but I SHY Laaaa.

I was later told that this guy came to school in the evening the day before and spent quite some time to deco up the desk for me. Truth is, i was touched beyond words. that Mr. is very romantic indeedy. For a boy still schooling, its very very romantic. Sometimes, actions touches the heart more than anything money could ever buy. Women/girls are suckers for romantic acts rather than material things because its priceless.

So, maybe you might wanna share your romantic story this season?

To Have or not to have??

A Maid. That is the question.

Seriously? I dont' want one because of all the horror stories i've heard of. However, due to my working schedule, I desperately need one to help around the house. Poor MIL so old already needs someone to help around the house la. The SIL, not married spinster but never lift a finger. precious princess. sigh....

Anybody know where I can find domestic help??

No, not those live-in helpers but those who come by like twice a week?

If you happen to know of any please please drop me an email. Will appreciate it greatly.

Jac The Juara

I watched the "20th Anugerah Juara Lagu" yesterday , alternating btwn 8TV (Taiwanese gameshow or sorts)and TV3, Juara Lagu was shown Live from PWTC broadcast on TV3.
Hmm...this year they have a red carpet ala golden globes. Not bad, improving. Kartini looked gorgeous. She's 1 of the host for 3R if you dont already know. Actually I bumped into her at the gass station not long ago. She was so petite!!!! Very small girl she is!!!!! And i told her that. Ya, and she told me the camera is very mean. I mean she looks chubby on TV but in real life..... SO SMALL!!!! Gulp....i guess that shattered my dream to become a media artist?? kkekeke....I'm like GIGANTIC size compared to Kartini!! hah...
Daphne Iking was pretty as usual but a little too scrawny now, and thats on TV mind you, cant imagine her in real life. You need some padding girl.

Nothing much to comment on the results, just that Jac totally deserves to win. She is just so overwhelming I'm proud of her. Hope she stays humble. She have perfect control of her voice and the mic. I like.

Fashion critics:
uhm.....I like the way Malaysians dress. Oh correction, I like the way Malaysian ladies dress. Very elegant indeed. Thumbs down for the guys....most of you guys were wayyyyyy too casual. You can do better yo'.

Secondly, Whats with the miss-match/clashes of the make-up & clothings?????
Ok, not trying to pick on anyone but whats with Misha Omar wearing black n red with Pink eyeshadow????
Jac was wearing Orange but with Pink lipstick??
I thought they were divine looking but there's a little off somewhere...little rough on the edges.......and i guess their make-up artist needs some improvement, unless i'm like so outdated that this IS THE TREND that i do not know off??? Nurul needs a better make-up too and some loose powder.

Other than that, Siti looks gorgeous as always....Sheryl Samad the host is very cute and pleasing to the eye. I love her. We were in the same college during her "KFC hour" days....not that we know each other la...heh... I cant even remember if we were ever in the same class.

Almost every lady have been sponsored by Rafflesia for jewellaries. They are lovely but I don't actually like to see 1 brand dominating the entire event.Everyone was wearing pearls!!!left pearls right pearls up pearls down pearls.l...everywhere pearlssss......!! I'd like to see more sponsors next time. err......i dunno if its just me but for Jac's final outfit...her earrings and her necklace does'nt really match. Plus i think the pearls were a little to big for her petite frame.

Loreal was the official sponsor for the night. I must say that they did pretty well. I like the red carpet idea. But we need more camera's there. I felt that there were too little celebrities shown.

Handmade Earrings

Well, its already February! Whatduyaknow.... and its already Friday. The last day of my long awaited holiday. boohoo!! Monday is back to work day........sigh..... been waking up 10nish everyday for the past week. *Gulp*...hope I can wake up early again.

I made these earrings sometime ago. I finally took a picture of them. Nice o'not?
Thanks to twinsmom my sifu, she totally got me into beading. I think i spent quite alot of $$$ buying materials eversince I found this new love. ;) Its a lovely hobby for fashionistas like myself. I dont have to buy costume jewellary anymore. I just go window shopping, observe which one i like, come home and make them!!! hehee... But of course I must make sure I have the materials.
