My 100th Post!!

Congratulations to myself!! I finally made my 100th post!! Gosh i didn't know i'd last that long. I thought i'd be over blogging in like a couple of post for this is not my first blog. I started one some years back with only 1 post that wasnt even published because i was too shy!! Sheeshhhh

I bought quite alot of stuffs this weekend and i'd like to list them down:

1. Pink blazer [[ RM 39.90]]
2. Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair lotion (whitening)---- [[RM 200]]

(this is actually non whitening one, the whitening one is slightly more expensive. If you have uneven skin tone the whitening one helps)

3. Estee Lauder make-up set worth RM 1,200 but i getto buy it for [[RM195]] if i buy anything above RM 150 which i did on the above item. ( oh i love love love love it!!!!! its such a good buy!!)

4. Pink blouse. a little spegetti strap v-neck with matching mini tie-a-ribbon cardigan top. (erm...not very good at describing la) [[RM 26]] (U Parkson. Bought this using the RM20 voucher i got from buying item 2+3 so end up only paying RM 6 for it)
5. 1 spegetti strap [[RM6]] (value buy)
6. 1 babydoll spegetti top dress [[RM30]] (at 50% off)
7. Christian Dior -DiorAddict Plastic Gloss [[RM 72]]

(Now, something incidental on lipglosses. At first i wanted so much to get a Stila so i went to the counter and browse, seriousely i was rather dissappointed as the quality of the product is no so up to my expectation, comparitively for the price. Anyhow the girl in the counter asked me to give it a try, i was abit reluctant(er not fancy about trying testers due to hygene reasons) but i asked her if its hygene?? she said ya cos they use a spatula and the brush. So i let her put on the lipgloss on me. The end result was not so nice so i gave up the idea. I headed off to CDior counter and got this instead. Its rich and really lovely. I think i got the one number 364 in pink. Yesterday my lips felt rather weird n itchy, i think i had a funny allergy thing going on. I suspect its due to testers i tried over at stila. Bummer.....)

8. Some hair clips [[RM 11]]

9. 1 long pants in pink for the niece [[RM 35.90]] (at 50% off)
10. 1 pink blouse for another niece [[RM 10]] (value buy)
11. Bedroom Quilt cover set [[RM 204]] (RM689 - 70%)

wah!!!! i'm scared to even sum up the total........

hey girls, dont buy like me if you're still studying and living on your parents ok!!! Fashionasia do nottttt i say NOTTTTTT encourage such behavior unless you're paying for them yourself.
Fashionasia only started using Estee lauder when she started working and paid for them herself. Of course it helps when the fiance is willing to pay for item 2+3 so that fashionasia did not burn her pocket. ;)

Jewellery Making [Updated with pic]

Wow. What a fruitful weekend indeed. So they say, nothing ventured nothing gained. I guess i've ventured into the mall and overspent because i splurged myself silly to a series of shopping spree and spent close to a thousand bucks this weekend. hehe!!! Nothing feels more refreshing than spending money after a long week working hard to earn them!! nyeh nyeh to my bank account!! LOL

Saturday started off pretty well, i woke up about 10am feeling rather groggy because ive been having the sniffles. But i had an appointment today that i've been looking forward to since beginning of the week. I'm meeting twinsmom!!!!

I'm learning jewellery making from Maria or fondly known as twinsmom. Its the first time i'm meeting a fellow blogger and we arranged to meet up at Mc.D's Petaling Street. Little did we realize that there were like 3 McD's in Petaling Street area!!!!!! gooossh....both of us were at a totally different McD's!!! haha........very funny. But alas, we manage to meet up and got the agenda going. Maria is a very warm n bubbly women. She's so patient with me n my clumsy fingers. All i can say is....oh wow.....jewellery making is NOT EASY!!!! you really need steady hands....and no keeping long fingernails!!!! In the end of the day I made an earring!!! Its so pretty!!!! Tadaaahhh!!!!!!

here is my precious first handmade jewellery!!!!! so pretty isnt it????

Thanks Maria!!!! Free advertisement for you for being such a dearie!!! hehe.....

All i can say is, after Saturday, I truly learn to appreciate handmade jewellery more and i understand its worth because oh wow....it is NOT EASY!!!!!! Took me 3 hours to make this little earring lei........
Other than that i bought quite alot of stuffs.......i guess id create another post about what i bought during the weekend later.
Those interested to learn jewellery making do visit http://www.mariahlc.com/blog/

Before of after? That is the question............

I've often been asked if one should curl their lashes before applying mascara or after applying the mascara.

I admit that at some point i was so confused myself as different professional make-up artists told me different stories. But i remembered when i went for make-up lessons years ago they thought me to curl the lashes after application.

Being a fashionista i've done my fare share of studies to know that the "actual" way to use a curler is BEFORE the mascara application. I've also tried to google and found that in About.com they say so the same. Sooooo, my answer is BEFORE.
The reason? because:
1. If you put on the mascara first and then curl, the curler(tool) will be smudged with mascara thus spoiling the tool.
2. It could spoil your lashes as the mascara makes the lashes tougher and hard and if you press the curler too hard, it could spoil your lashes as in it may break if your lashes are brittle.

HOWEVER, every professional make-up artist knows for a fact that curling before putting on the mascara does not work. Serious!!! unless you're using heated curler (those operated on battery). So for a better effect, most artists will curl before and then apply the mascara, then let it dry a little. Then curl the lashes again with the curler but remember not too hard. This works best.

Personally i choose to curl after application of the mascara as i find that it works better that way. Oh well, what can i say. There is no rule in make-up, you've gotta experiment and follow what you think suits you the best. I'm probably breaking the rules here but what the heck, just like how i shave my legs against the grain all the time when i know very well that i shouldnt. LoL.

ps. This is not a fashion tip. I'm just speaking from experience here. Follow at your own risk.

Fashionasia owns 2 eyelash curler. Will show you tomorrow when i take a pic of it.
Have a jolly weekend people!!! yippieee!!

Waking Up Is Hard To Do..........ZZZZzzzzzzzz

Zzzzzzzzzzz

If you know me, you know that i like to sleep.
I've always told the fiance that the greatest thing/feeling on earth is SLEEP. Come close in second is hugging him. Of cause the best is the combination of both?!! haha......

Anywayz, I've always battled with waking up in the morning it suprises me that i still manage to get to work on-time. Of course i'd be late once a week or so......hehe......there's always the jam to blame on.

Today i had my alarm set at 7.15am. Each time it rang i press the button and it snooze every 5 minutes. I manage to do it like i dunno howmany times untill i finally woke-up at 8.15am. Sheeesh..... silly lady. And it didn't help that i woke-up with a throbbing headache.

Here's to another day of battle........i'm having a breakfast meeting. Goody i'm hungry already.

Eye Liners

Eye Liners

Been meaning to talk about liners and well since JG asked about which liners to recommend sometime ago i might as well do so in this post.

Basically there are 2 types of eye liners(or more but i'm only familiar with 2).

1. Pencil liners
These kinda liners is what i call the "safe" liners. You can never go wrong with sharp pencil liners. Pencil liners comes in variant colors but for asian i would recommend to go for dark brown for the natural look. Black is common too but it will make you look a little fierce.

2.Liquid liners
The second type of eyeliners are the liquid liners. Liquid liners are great. They give wonderful definition to the eyes. However, to be able to use liquid liners one must have steady hands. If you're shaky, best is to stay with pencil liners. Otherwise the line definitions might just turn out ziggy-zaggy and it is just so difficult to rub off and reapply. Just too messy.

I love the liquid liners from the body shop. I use the one in dark brown. Its great.

If you prefer pencil liners, well i dont have any particular brand to recommend but bare in mind that even if you get a great product, you wont look great if you don't apply them with the right techniques.

For eye liners. The application totally depends on the shape and type of eyes you have.
For example, for those with big round eyes, try not to draw the outline to your WHOLE eye!! It will only exagerate them and cause you to have a "shocked" face.

For those with smaller eyes, you should outline the whole eyes to make them look bigger.

Personally i've recently bought myself a retractable pencil liner from Silky Girl (used to be called Wet n Wild). Its good because i don't have to sharpen the pencil every now and then. Cost approx RM 14.90. I like it, sometimes i just put on my liners and use my fingers to smudge a little over my eyelids and i have smokey eyes, need not apply any eyeshadow because it looks good enough. Probably for a better effect, put on a light white colorshimmer on the upper eyelid covering the socket. The effect is amazing.

Don't you know that by being registered means officially married???

Ya see, ive been engaged for like a couple of years already but only planning to actually get married end of the year. Just the other day i was on MSN which is a rare occasion for me as i hardly go on MSN anymore, i've totally grown out of my irc, icq, msn phase. Anyhowz, this friend of mine was online and he asked me this:

Friend: are you married yet?
Me: Nope.....not yet lah.....
Friend: have you registered??
Me: ???!!!???
Me: isn't it that by registering means officially married??

Actually this is not the first time i've encountered such situation. Recently i have a gathering with my old schoolpals and the guy told me that his sister is gonna "register" soon. I said....what?? your baby sister??? so younggg....... then he said , register only
whattt...........

!!?!?!??!?!?!whaaa???!!!!!???

now people......please understand this.

Register = Officially Married

Not your tak tong chiang...teng teng teng teng ceremoney(i mean ceremony) okay!!!
I know some ppl register first and then have their wedding ceremony 1 or 2 years later but if you go and register you are legally bound!! cannot nullify wan ok??!! don't play play...... unless you're underaged la then your papa or mama can go to the registra of marriage and object and drag u back home......kekekkeke

I dont understand lo, howcome ppl dont get the significance of the marriage registration??

Last minute, last minute......everytime also last minute...good thing i have a degree in last minute management

Its a good thing i'm Ms.Procrastinator and have a degree in last minute management!!!!
Arrghh......I wasn't even in the previous meetings and all of a sudden i was told to do the presentation today. GRrrrrr........Yesterday was a short review and well lets just say the others have left my matsalleh boss in a shitty mood and so here comes muaaa walking into the room without my armour. He asked me something.....well, i wasn't sure because I wasn't involved in all the previous meetings and the person in charge was on MC and i hardly know anything.......SOooooooooooooo...... instead of a firm YES or NO. I said the word "SHOULD BE" and........*SNAP*!! I struck a cord.............*@#U@U#Y!U@#I#@O@O@O@* scold scold scold scold scold scolc*.

Fashionasia quickly make a mental note. "NEVER EVER USE THE WORD SHOULD BE or MAYBE.....make a YES YES and a NO NO. REMEMBER THAT WOMEN"

However, after that i manage to pull myself through and explained in a way acceptable.......
Towards the end it went pretty well. Now thats just the review. Will be presenting to the BIG GUYS later in the afternoon today.

OK, Must go practice my presentation. Wish me luck!!
Say it with me now guys "Make a Yes Yes and a No No and nothing in between!!!" Remember now!! Words are SOooooooooooooooooooo sensitive nowsadaysss...

Young Hollywood Actresses......pick your favourite

I looked through some pictures that i've downloaded into my laptop and found this one. I remembered wanting to write about this but forgot to at that time and so i'm not able to give credit to the place where i downloaded this picture from because well, i forgot where i got it from.

But anyway, This is an issue of the Vanity Fair magazine (kinda long ago). I love the fact that they've put all the hollywood lovely young actresses together. Frankly speaking i use to adore MaryKate& Ashley especially during Full House days, and then they had to grow up and turn all scrawny and scary...............

Then i also use to love Lindsay Lohan alot during Parent Trap days(i think so its her correct me if i'm wrong), I love lindsay to bits because she's just so beautiful and sweet and all...she had a va va voom curvy body, lovely boobs that even the media speculated if its silicon...........and then she had to go blonde and loose what looks like 30 pounds and turn all scrawny and scary..........now she looked rather wasted, lost her boobies too..... i prefer her as a red head or brunette than blonde.............

Then i liked Hillary Duff because she was comfortable with herself eventhough she was rather fleshy................and then she did something recently....i don't know if its plastic surgery or what not she just turn all scrawny and scary now.......she just look weirder and weirder................
Notice the pattern here???? Or am i the only one wondering why every Hollywood actresses are turning blonde and scrawny??

The only person here left that i'm giving thumbs up to is Alexis Bledel(4th from right). She is (IMHO)THE MOST BEAUTIFUL young actress around. Alexis, or also fondly known as Rory from Gilmore Girls is perfectly beautiful, elegant, have great fashion sense, almost always dress dashingly, sweet........She's got a great package and i sure hope she keeps it that way and please Alexis don't let me down ok!!!! Don't go blonde and don't go on a diet because you're absolutely gorgeous already!!!

Peasant Skirts Or Preirie Skirts Or Gypsy Skirts

(pic linked from edressme)

Whatever you call it. They have made a come back!!! Its THE season. Well, actually it have been resurrected for couple of months already.

yes, everywhere you go, every shopping centre you visit. Just take a good look at the ladies around you....... I bet you 5 out of 10 of them are wearing peasant skirts. Some short, some knee length but mostly long and flair.

I actually do love them. I especially adore white ones. However, looking at the current situation where there are too many of them around actually turns me off. I'm a person that goes for uniqueness. I don't like to wear things others are wearing and i like to outshine others and stand out like a sore thumb. My worst fear is to be caught wearing the same dress as another stranger/person especially during dressy functions. I would totally feel embarrassed or freak out or both.

Coming back to the peasant skirts. Well guess what!! dispite refraining myself from buying any this time around for months........i eventually found myself a gold colored one....which is so unique and special that i just have to have it, even at the cost of RM50. 1 boo to me. BOO! Because I have fallen into the trend victim category once more. Teehee... and it goes well with my golden alladin slippers plus my golden bronse handbag. Wow i feel so boho. I'm feelin all gypsy now......where can i find myself a crystal ball and a bandanna?

Picking up shit is no fun at all......

hey people!!!

Miss me???
Gosh....little did i realize that i havent been blogging for the past 2 weeks and it seems like ages already!
Now excuse me while i whine a little.....

Yalah...been busy as usual...As you all may know it was the ICT week in Malaysia last week where one of the largest ICT event in Malaysia is held yearly.

I was put into a spot where once again i had to pick up shit left behind by some inconsiderate Business Manager.I hate it when people do that!! ....by "that" i mean by starting something and resigning. I'm always the one having to pick up the pieces and bite the bullets. I think i'm such a professional when it comes to crisis management cos i'm almost always the candidate to be designated to pick up the shit.

For example, this business manager was just transfered to our department not long ago. And, being the smart alec, Mr.SmartyPants decided to participate in the above mentioned event. 1 month before the event, he announced his resignation. Since he was the one who started it, he should still continue to handle this event untill his last day right?? But nooooooooooo...........theoratically he is still in-charge but reality?? I'm the one who's gotta crack my head to design the booth, design n print brochures, decided on corporate gifts, schedule talks, market and promote the event.....coordinate and organize teams.....set up booth.....look for sponsors..... actually BE THERE are the booth and actually make effor to TALK to potential customers..........etc.etc.etc.......

I'M TIRED....

Mr.SmartyPants doesnt even care if we have enough brochure and that if there were going to be any potentials.... He was there basically walking around everywhere except for being at the booth. ARggghHHH.....

We've spent so much on this event. Guess who's head is on the table when the boss wants to know whats the ROI?? Whats the justification against the spent expenses?

Youres truely but of course.

-----------------------End Of Whining Session------------------------------------

OK.....now talking about my previous posts....Can someone tell me where can i find Cat Whiskers???!!!!(No not from a real cat but the accessories shop) I've read about them in CLEO before but never step into any nor have i bought any accessories from there before. Enlighten me please girls.
Oh.....and talking about accessories. I sorta like this place called Momoe (1Utama). Its japanese style lala mui shop lah...but then sometimes there are weird looking stuffs and unique designs that i absolutely adore. Its kinda cheap too. They have lovely flats and nice bags too.

Ms.Tsunami westernised and changed name to Ms.Katrina?

I choose to write this post as a tribute to our friends over in the US. Quite a large amount of readers i have are from the US and i can't help but to think that some of them might have been victims of the recent tragedy caused by Hurricane Katrina.

It struck me that only less than a year ago, we were hit by the tsunami over this part of the world. And now, the tsunami probably decided to change its costume and westernise its name to Katrina and migrated to the US.

Ever since the hurricane hit, my tv was on 24 hrs a day on channel 90 (CNN). Both my parents are intrigued by the news and the immensity of the episode.

My heart goes out to the victims, I know for a fact that I may not be able to comprehend their angst, even with the recent haze was bad enough to irritate my daily affair let alone having to endure life without electricity, food, water …etc...I’m sure its hellish not knowing when things will go back to normal again.

It is at this type of situation that I treasure Malaysia so much. Being at the foot of mercy of the Almighty is truly by grace. It took only a week for the haze to totally clear up and the sun and the rain came back. I’m so thankful to be alive…..to be in Malaysia.

My new accessories

This is the earring i was talking about. Sui bo??? Sure lah.....cost me RM44 wor......I tried to bargain untill RM40 also the sales girl refused to bend. The white petals are made of shells i was told and they only have 1 in the stall. I bought it because i love the design. Do i think its worth it?? Nope!! It should be at least half the price. Why its expensive?? because its from UK. If you buy those frm taiwan or korea it should be alot cheaper.

These are the sparkling hairclips i bought from Maggie-T. Its not cheap though!!! its about RM7. 10% discount(only) storewide.
Jellygirl, its butterfly motif leh~!!! hehe.....u want or not?? i send to you......if u gimme ur addie la. ;)

I know my period is on the way when....

I know my period is on the way when:

1. I'm non-stop hungry. i need to eat and eat and eat.....and still feel hungry
2. I feel blotted, i see fats everywhereeee! especially the tummy
3. All clothes doesn’t seem to look good on me
4. Pimples popping up in unsightly places and its humungous and painful
5. I have cravings for junkfood
6. I feel lethargic
7. The nipples itch
8. The breast becomes delicate ( i know of some ppl who feel their breast hurt but i don't suffer that)
9. Prone to fall sick, the sniffles, headache...etc.
10. Feels irritated and agitated for every little thing.

When i die, I think i will go to heaven where everyone is Man.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fashionasia Confessions:
I broke my promise to Mr.Practical about no junkfood. I bought myself a pack of chickadees and gobbled up a whole packet without him knowing it.

Pulang(kan) marilah pulang(kan) marilah pulang(kan) bersama sama...

On the 31st August, Mr.Practical told me this with a straight face.

"As an act of patriotisme today let us all send back our Proton cars together to celebrate this merdeka."

Well, ya, i couldnt agree more with the subtle hints beneath Mr.Practical's word of wisdom for the day.

As anak Malaysia, we are trying so hard to accept Malaysia as it is, flaws and all. Trying our best to contribute what we can to make our homeland a better place to live in. On the other hand, our leaders that we look-up to is not setting good examples. Oh puhleeesss.....grow up will ya??!!!
