Thanks for all the guesses. I guess the closest to the right answer is Barneys girl!! :)

I got Jennifer Lopez's hair yo

Recently a friend told me i reminded her of Jennifer in Monster-in-law.

har??? Where got?????
Its the hair lah, Thats about it.

I think i wanna snip of my locks and make it shorter because the rediculous amount of hair i've be shedding scared me shitless, excuse the french. I think if i continue shedding somemore the next thing you'll know is that i'd be coughing hairballs.

I'm looking for a good shampoo that strengthens the hair. I normally interchange brands for my shampoo but i think i'll go get me the Sunsilk Ginseng one. I used it before and its quite ok. I like sunsilk. :)

Revealing

When i set up this blog, i did not intend to let anyone i know to know about it, not even the person closest to me in the wholeeeee wide world. ie. The husband.

I chose to blog anonymously. However I told myself i would reveal the blog to him when i receive my first cheque from google adsense. A target i set for myself about 1 year and a month ago. Today, i'm about 5 bucks short to target. Brave thyself dear fashionasia. It has to be revealed. Sooner or later. Gulp....

The reason I did not want him to know is because, knowing him, surely he will comment that i'm wasting my time yada yada, but if i have a cheque in 1 hand and a blog in another, i bet he'd be more supportive. :)

Its a Comforter, Quilt or a Duvet?

A friend of mine wanted to get me something as a belated wedding gift and so she asked me if i use a quilt.

Now, I uhhh-ed for a moment and said yes. Now this is because i've always called them "comforters" and i was thinking for a moment if those are called quilt too. So i think quilt is the same.......similar goes to the Duvet. Am i right?

Personally I like the word Duvet. Sounds so classy rite?
hehe.... i guess its similar to the Pants and Trousers being the same thing, depending if you're using British English or American english.

Do correct me if i'm wrong. If there is any difference between them do enlighten me please. :)

My Prejudice against Singaporean

I don't mean to be a prejudice but i confess, i absolutely have prepossess ideas of Singaporeans as snobby people who look down on Malaysians. My prejudices, most often than not were affirmed everytime i met one. Everytime i have to meet a singaporean, i'd just bite my teeth and sigh...oh no not another singaporean.....

Lately I happen to meet up with quite a number of Singaporeans due to the course of my work. I also had the opportunity to meet up with 2 from my recent interviews with potential employers happened to be HQed in LionLand.

I've been to about 5 interviews this year and 2 out of 3 were interviewed by Singaporeans who flewn in to conduct the interviews.

I must say that although I thought i did well, and they were pretty impressed with me, I was however not impressed with the way questions were asked, in sarcastical manner, a very "you are nobody, you are begging me for a job" manner. Which i detest, and it irked me even more that after your superior attitude, you then tell me that you're only gonna pay me a trainee pay (less than half of my current pay) for the first month. What??? I felt so insulted. Professionals my backside. Someore sing dollars are half of it which equivelant to a couple of hundred SGD only. :P I have commitments ok.

Somehow I felt much more at ease and well threated with Malaysian employers. 1 of which actually called me in quite a number of times which i went through 4 interviews in total. I'm quite certain i may get the job, however i'm not very certain if i would like to take up the offer though. Its gonna be a pretty tiring job nature, much the same as my current job but with higher target to achieve. gulp.......

However on a good note, i met up with another singaporean on thursday of whom is our vendor. He is the sweetest Singaporean I've ever met!!! OMG!!! very gentlemanly, very well mannered, Not a single trace of "i'm hollier than thou" attitude!!! This guy i must say is commandable, he totally saved the Singaporean race by being him!! haha.... I've never met such a nice singaporean guy, ever! Soooo, there are nice singaporeans after all!!! Plus, he is pretty good looking and tall too!! *winks*

ps. no offence to singaporeans for the generalization. This post is explicitly to express my feelings and thought only and not intended to spark off anything.

Paracitamol

Can't find some panadol. Arrghh....woke up today with a bad headache. Practically had to crawl out of bed for a 9.30am appointment.

I'm thinking to take the rest of the day off. Still have an hour to toy with the idea.

In the mean time, i found myself some "Milidon"

I'm not very medically sound but i do know what is paracitamol so it says here 1 tablet consist of 500mg paracitamol.

I know normally i take 2 tablets of panadol. But now i have no idea if i should just take 1 or 2 milidon tablets?? Someone care to tell me if 1 is enough? I just swallowed 1 and waiting for it to make some magic.

[edited: This post was intended to be published on Friday but somehow blogger failed on me.
Ending of the story was, i took EL halfday and went home, pop 1 more panadol actifast and Konked out]

Cracking my head to write a Business Proposal

Ya, I've been assigned to write a business proposal and its been half a day and all I've written is

"Business proposal for XXX is.........."

Blardeee coconut!!!!

:(

Been googling the whole morning for ideas.

I can write a good proposal if the idea comes from me and if i suddenly have a eureka moment. But this is not the case. The boss shove a product down my way and say "you're suppose to take this product, learn it up and take it as your baby. I want you to deliver by end of this month a Business Plan. So now, with a product i virtually know nothing of in my embrace, i need to write a business plan, identify the market segment, produce milestone for the company direction, come up with the business approach, marketing material and pricing stategy....etcetera etcetera etcetera........"

I immediately have a splitting headache. Panadol is going to be my crack and google my best friend.

I am really squeezing my juices to come up with a good campaign or bundling solution to sell this. Its pretty niche and uncommon so google is not helping much, or rather my googling technique needs some refining.

Need to get back to my word document.

Fashionasia puts on thinking cap. I need some inspiration.

Auspicious Month

Obviously its an auspicious month. Received 3 wedding invites.
1 from and old friend of mine - not going because its in UK
1 from an ex-colleague- also not going because its in my hometown far far away
another one i attended on Saturday.

Sometimes its a difficult choice to pick the right dress for the occasion. Like this particular one, I wore a stripe halter neck wrap-around dress with a high slit infront, i bought it from singapore during my previous trip to lionland. It wasnt expensive at all, 20SGD to be exact. Cheap and fancy. There is a brooch infront at the waist which seems like that was all that held the dress in place. Pretty sexy laah.....loose the brooch and the dress falls apart!! kinky rite?
(update: pretty similar to the Tango dress i saw from bunnyshop.org. Except for the color
http://www.bunnyshop.org/bunnyshop/ask_a_stylist/index.html)

I thought i dressed good, untill i saw some of my friends upon arrival, wearing T-SHIRT and JEANS!!! Arggh.......Now puhlleeeeess, i hate moments like that when someone causes me to doubt myself for a moment!!!

Later i actually saw people who dress up well and .....phew.......i am not overdressed.
Don't you just hate it when you're overdressed or underdressed for a particular occasion??

Tips from Fashionasia:
Sometimes overdress or underdress can be an issue. So the best solution not to embarrass yourself is to ask around pre-function(whatever function it may be). Get a friend or two to decide and agree on whats appropriate to wear. Always ask "what will you be wearing?". This way, even if you are overdressed/underdressed, you always have 2-3 other person as company. :)

Women - To Love or To Loathe?

Thank God its Friday!! This week seem to went pass so fast I didn't even have time to yearn for its coming to end. I guess its great to be busy because the weekend seems to come by faster.

Recent comments on my previous post about International Women's day, I guess many have no idea what is IWD?? Actually me too, untill I actually googled and read up a bit of its history.

I quote

"International Women's Day, or International Woman's Day (IWD), is marked on 8 March every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women. Among other relevant historic events, it commemorates the Triangle Factory Fire (New York, 1911), where over 140 women lost their lives. "

Unquote

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Womens_Day

Some say that its a day that Women all over the world focus on their rights and fight for it. For some, its the day women should be given a treat for being women.

Personally, I dont like being a women. We are weird creatures that are overpowered by emotions, insecurities and inferiority complex, bound by physical limitations and weaknesses. I really don't like being women all that much, not mentioning me not liking women all that much either. Women are bad drivers, they NEVER give way. Women are bad bosses, they are very difficult to please...etc. All the horror stories I've heard......oh goodness me.

I know i sound rather hypocritical but lets face it, its the truth isnt it?

I used the think that If i were ever to be born again I'd choose to be a man. However, yesterday I had a eureka moment and immidiately I ask the hubby.

fashionasia: hubby, If i were to be born again and i getto choose which gender to be, I will definately want to be born a WOMEN again. You know why??

hubby: Why??

fashionasia: because if i am women i getto Love a MAN.

hubby: *smiles* ( she's talking nonsense again...but she is funny....) hahahaha...

heh......weird?? Think about it.......Isnt it obvious that men are much easier to love?? oh Lord i cant bring myself to go through what men have to go through with womens unreasonable emotional rollercoaster ride!!! WHOAAA

Thank God I'm a Women!! :)

The Art of Walking With a Broken Heel

I broke a heel. Its my favouritestttt pair of power 3 inch sandals. Carlo Rino, 2 White straps with black slingback. Simple and nice.

I had no idea when the heels gave way but as i was walking through a group of people down a long isle where all eyes were on me, I suddenly felt the heels giving way. Quickly realizing that the heels were about to snap on me any moment, I quickly work on my footwork. Of course I can't go down in front of what seems like gazzilian pairs of eyes on me??!!!! CAN DIEEE of embarrassment i tell you!! What more when you're wearing a sexy black number with a high slit right up your thighs. Now trying falling you tell me!! THAT'LL be a sight !!!

Sooooooo trying not to appear obvious, I gracefully sasshay my way by tipping my toe and made sure that all my weight doesnt go to the heels but to my toes. (Boy am I one heavy bag of beans!!!) Anyway, I manage to reach home in 1 piece without anyone noticing my broken 3 inch high heels. THAT takes some skills I tell ya! I guess my dance and gymnastics training had not gone to waste after all. Ah....us women. Even if we were to fall, we MUST make sure we fall gracefully.

With my favourite pair of shoes KO, Im on a mission to replace it. :)
I found some rather lovely replacements from Gunmetal Shoes.

This is a lovely satin white shoes with black bead work. Very elegant.

This is a white leather shoe with slingback. With black crisscross ribbons. Lovely.

Lastly, my favourite, button flower sandals!! So sweet and lovely.

My 2 cents worth, make that 30 cents la....dont blame me, its the inflation!

I'm not the kind that likes to go against authority, I believe authority is there for a reason. I also don't believe in people who says that laws were made to be broken mambo jumbo. Lame excuses. I think i've grown much, I did not get all worked up since the petrol increase have been announced. Yes of course I'm upset over it, who doesn't?? But that's just inevitable. The government, the PM for that matter must have had a good thought over the issue and its probably for the good of the country. Sometimes, I'm disgusted over our overly "Malaysian" attitude at that the moment something thrown at our way, the first thing we do is complaint, lament, express negativity. Same goes to those at the work place just disgusted at the fact that we almost always have a rebuttal over anything that authority decides and never stop to rationalize for a moment.

Just like when we were kids, we cannot comprehend our parents and that we thought they don't understand us but as we grew up, we actually learn that parents did what they thought were best for us. Not necessarily right all the time, but most time they were right. Why? Because they "eat salt more than we eat rice"- the old people says.
Same goes to the current issue, we almost always criticize the PM, our leaders for what they are doing but have we stop and actually thought for awhile there, how difficult is it to be a PM, to be in that position??? You cannot please everybody and there are certain steps that needs to be taken like it or not.

I'm not trying to be a good samaritan here and I by no means is a blind follower. But i see something in this current issue that actually scares me. Is the finance situation of our country shaky? I have a strong feeling it is. The people "in high places" must have realized something coming and that the country needed the money. The rainy day, its really near isn't it? I can feel it in my bones.

Yes I'm upset that if petrol price increases that means an increase in EVERYTHING. A can of coke in SS2 would probably be RM2.20 now. Gosh.....
You know what i hate about Malaysians??? In mandarin there is a proverb that goes something like "taking advantage of the fire to steal". Well, THAT is just plain evil. THOSE people are the enemy here. People who take advantage of the petrol increase to increase their prices and then put the blame on the government. They are not helping at all.

Other than that, I felt that the government's effort trying to "explain" things over a session with our DPM just made it worst. You don't have to explain a way, just TELL us the country needs the money. Don't have to give the excuses of our petrol being the lowest rate after Brunei and comparing with other countries like Singapore where it is double or UK which is much more. My dear, you forgot our measly PAYCHECK. Howmuch are WE earning on average and how much Singaporeans are making?? Their petrol costs double but their pay is double too. Furthermore, we are a PETROL exporter!! Our country produce petrol!! They don't.

OKla, enough of my blabbering, I feel better now. Up UP Up everything Up cept for the paycheck remain stagnant. Inflation i tell you.

I guess If I Were to buy a car, I would probably go for those 1000cc

Was just chatting with the hubby about cars. Hubby's planning to get me a new car and waiting avidly for the new Civic to launch. However I was telling him that fine if he buys the car but who's gonna maintain it?!! Mua but of coz, and i sure as hell cannot afford to maintain a big car!! Of course my petrol and car maintenance is paid for now by the company but what if i decide to quit my job?? Now who's gonna pay my petrol?? Even his Audi drinks by the galant so most of the time if we were to go out we'll just hop into my mini cruz as its much easier to manuver through the jam and not to mention, PETROL SAVING.

I merely mentioned that i'd love to own a PICANTO. 1000cc Cheap and Cutey Mutey. He just LAUGHED and gave me a snigger.... NO Wayyyyyyy!!!
............. hmmpphh.......men....
what......Picanto not nice meh?????
