okok....nomore singapore stories i promise.............

To ping or not to ping..........that is the question............

Is it Today or is it Today??

I don't know how the singaporeans deal with the "Today" papers.

You see it's so confusing when the name of the papers is called "Today" instead of like what we have here "TheStar" " NST" or "TheSun". You see this is what happened when i was in singapore.

Me: " hey Bob! You want to take the papers?"
Bob: "Is it today's?"
Me: " ya...its..... *reads the title of the papers*... TODAY papers"
Bob:" ya ok....if its today's paper then take it"
Me: "er....I'm not sure if its today's paper but the paper is TODAY"
Bob:"........................"
Me: *realizes the little confusion* "see......the paper is called TODAY.*me point point at title*......*me check check date*......but its not today's date.........so still want or not??"
Bob: "OOoohhh....aiya not today wan dowan lor......"

do singaporeans experience this on a daily basis or what?

I guess you guys miss me already. kekekek

Well, well....I'm not exactly in a bright and dandy mood ya know....
I was still in Spore standing the whole day at the booth right from the moment i arrived changi at 9am and transit to Spore expo until like 10pm at night after some networking sessions(and yes i have to attend a COCKtail dinner where you just HAVE TO STAND n mingle around eventhough I've been standing for the whole day- Look ma.... no chairs!!! :P). It doesnt help that I woke up at 5am to get to KLIA in the morning and only slept like a couple of hours before.
Standing with my 3 inch high-heels and yakking non-stop with potential customers......... My big big boss sends me an email that he wants a 5 year proposal plan by Monday. Watduyaknow.........me thinks da boss thinks am in the lion city shopping my @sses off n got nothing better to do when i come back during the weekends so i might as well spend my weekend cracking my head while i massage my overly sore feet writing a 5 YEAR PROPOSAL PLAN............You know la we women "ai sui mai mia"<--in hokkien literally translated as "want beauty don't want life". Means women will do anything for the sake of beauty even if it involves severe aggravating pain...sigh........FEET.....IS.....KILLING......ME......

Boohoo... But then again....being a seasoned shopper, nothing can stop me from buying at least SOMETHING from the GSS. Even if it means a mere 15 minutes. I manage to secure 3 yummilicous purchases before the shop closes. *aaaaahh* .......such a great feeling to buy some great buys that i forgot about the sore feet. teeheee......

Damage done: Minimal = SG 54.90
No of Items purchased: 3
Items breakdown :
1 lovely lovely silver flats. YEY!!!!! been looking for silver shoes for ages.
1 morgan de toi bag
1 cute 3/4 sleeve T

Singapore Here I Come

Okay.......I'm off to Singapore. Will be back when i'm back!! Don't miss me!!

oh ya........and blardee Singapore Hotels!!!! I've tried to book a hotel for the past week and since online booking is cheaper thus I booked the hotels from online www.asiarooms.com (which is veryveryvery cheap IMHO compared to the rest) However, I've tried over 10 hotels and all FULLY BOOKED!!!!!

Crayzee or not?? Well, thank goodness in the end I managed to secure a room through phone booking. But the blardee nincompoops hike the price so much I'm paying a 5 star hotel price for a 3 star hotel. Sigh....
Another of my colleague told me some hotels don't even accept phone bookings now....Everything must book online....huh??!! But the online bookings don't tell you they don't have a room untill 1 day after....

Well, what to do, CommunicAsia is in town and so is the GSS(Great Singapore Sale). I hope to be able to do some shopping but i really really doubt so due to tight schedules of endless meetings and the CommunicAsia thingy. Sigh.... I'd be trilled if i actually manage to buy something at all. Ah well......

Au revoir!!!

fashionasia: "ok"
kopitiam ahbeng delivered 2 cans of cheers brand chinchau :" RM3.80"
fashionasia dig dig purse......take out RM 4, take back RM0.20.
fashionasia *do mental calculation* Wahlauehhhhh Cheers Brand Canned ChinChau costs RM 1.90 each????!!!! fuhhyooh.......INFLATION ALERT!!! INFLATION ALERT!!!

sigh..... Cannot order canned drinks anymore its double the price you can get from hypermarkets. I would say 1 can of cheers chinchau in hypermarket is less than RM 1 each. Cheers brand leh not Seasons brand, not Yeo hiap seng.....sigh....

Between Miss Malaysia and I

With the recent Miss Universe being crowned, i can't help but to feel dissappointed again that Miss Malaysia never made it to the top 10, not that i'm expecting it nor do i see it comming along anytime soon. I thought when Elaine Daly was Miss Malaysia we'd stand a teeny weeny bit of chance to make it then but still, she did not make heads turn enough to make it to top 10.

[BTW i think this year's Miss Universe2005 is gorgeous.]

Miss Universe is a powerful title. Those beauty-with-brains are there for a reason. They are all smart n beautiful. Most of them having degrees, MBA or PHDs.....lawyers, doctors, business women.....etc... The thing is, those that participate in Miss Malaysia pagent are normally shampoo girls, clerks, student, salesgirls....and cant speak good english....... Now where are all the beautiful and intelligent malaysian ladies??? Truth is, they'd rather make money than struting down the catwalk in a bikini. I guess they don't see the significance of the title and howmuch an impact it will bring to our nation if they clinch the title. I do hope to see one of our very own Miss Malaysia make it at least to the top 10 someday, that would be a great sight.

Now, comming back to what I ment to write "between Miss Malaysia and I". You see, back in my hometown, I was one popular gal.(This post is not ment to brag about myself but I'd like to make a point so hear me on this). I was really popular in school, among teachers, among boys, among boys in other schools even. Heck I even have my name on various grafitti spots.......ahaks..... "I (heart) XX" kekeke....I still remember them.....

Recently, a couple of years back I can't remember which year. I saw "her" and read about "her" in theStar Pullout. OMG!!! she is Miss Malaysia (200X) cant remember which year....
This girl is a someone from my school. She was 2 years my senior. Although I sort of know her bcos being the popular girl myself I sorta know alot of people too. I remember back in school she was hardly known-of. She was a very quiet girl in the Arts stream, definately not in the creme-de-la-creme class. Average looking although she's got a unique "hitam manis" look, she was just an average girl next door. I don't even know her name. Definately not one of the "xiao hua"(school flowers). Since she was not studious, she went on to the MAS academy to become a stewardess right after form 5. Then a couple of years in the industry, she learned how to groom herself and participated in the pageant and whambam.......tahdah!!!! She is Miss Malaysia!!

Now what about me????? A Shopaholic by nature, a Workaholic by choice.

Ya, still leading a boring life surrounded by Techie and trapped in the world of network and computers....writing proposals and drawing network diagrams....... sigh......

Btwn Miss Malaysia and I..... I'd want to be Miss Malaysia anytime. If only i can loose 10kg and grow 4 inches [Updated: 4 inches in HEIGHT my readers.....in Height....kekeke...as pointed out by 5xmom , i wouldnt want it to go anywhere else].

Split Ends? Take care of your crowning glory with Ego-Boost!

As they say your hair is your crowning glory. Why women would spend hundreds of ringgits per month on their hair? Truth be told. We love to be beautiful. When my hair feels soft n silky and tangle free, thats when I feel my self confidence arise and that is when i feel beautiful. And a women that feels they are beautiful can accomplish great things. (like making men their slaves.....hehe and thats another story).

Haircare products sells because women will try anything to make their hair softer, smoother,straighter.....etc.

As I attest to before that I have very long locks, the reason I manage to grow my hair to the current 3 feet length totally attributed to the fact that I'm naturally blessed with beautiful straight hair. No rebonding required. Although at times when i wake-up in the morning it can be a total mess but nothing that a chopstick couldnt handle.

[sample how I tie my hair up when I'm lazy to comb kekekeke.....this is a random pic from google image search]

I've never had any problems with my hair apart from the "kutu" (fleece?) that I suffered wayyyyyy back when I was 5 or 6 years of age contributed by my malay classmate back in kindy days in my kampung.(which resulted in me having to cut off my long locks and spot a bob hairstyle......yucks......was so sad then..... )Other than that, I have pretty healthy hair all a long.

But as i grew my hairs longer I noticed that I have split ends(maybe when it passes the 2 feet mark) and it got pretty bad that i found lots of split ends that I have to regularly snip it off as and when i found one.

Thus, one fine day while I made a trip back to my dads hometown in Penang, I stumbled across a place in the Gurney Shopping Complex where they sell all those haircare products and pampering items. This is the place where I was introduced to the product called Tigi Ego Boost, Split-End mender. I tried it and i must say it works like a charm.

[Visit TIGI ]

I used to use other products like the VO5 leave-in cream and I've also tried stuff from Loreal Elseve but it never worked as well. I haven't tried
Keratese before but it came as highly recommended according to some of my girly-girl blogfriends.

So hear it from Fashionasia, try out the haircare products from TIGI. They have pretty cool stuffs like pineapple fragrance shampoo.....conditioners and so on. If you're in KL well now you can find them in any SASA(sells cosmetics)outlets or SHINS (sell haircare stuffs). The Ego-Boost cost around RM55 or so but worth it cost it lasts pretty long.
