The No.1 boss sucks.
I got 3 big bosses above me.
Boss No.3(direct boss) appreciates me the most. Suggested an increament for me.
Boss No.2 (COO) also agreed and suggested Y amount of increament.
Boss No.1(CEO) have no idea what I do, thinks I'm just sitting pretty doing nothing.......decides that i do not deserve Y increament. Reduced it to Y/2. Yes half.
I AM VERY SAD and MAD.
Because
1. I turned down a job which offered me Yx5 (5 times more than my increament amount).
2. Because this yr is suppose to be the year i get my increament after 3 years of a ZILCH amount.
3. Because I still have to go to work tomorrow demanded by the customer for me to BE THERE eventhough I'm officially off from now (but does boss.1 know that? NOooooooooo)
4. Because I may even need to go to work this SUNDAY because the customer trust NO ONE but ME and wants ME to be there... (but does boss.1 know that too? Nooooooo)
ps. The only reason why i've not break-down is because of my vacation. Thank you hubby, you are the best! muaks...

Decent Experience Renewing My Malaysian Passport
So the hubby decided to bring me somewhere this month. Perhaps somewhere nice n cooling. Though decisions have not materialize, I can't help but squeel in glee. First thing I thought of is to check my passport. And true enough, It expires JULY 06. Bummer, why do passports ALWAYS expire when you need to use them.
I wanted to renew my passport so i've decided to check-out the website for more information about passport renewal process, just to find out what shall I prepare to bring over. I wasn't particularly sure if its under the Immigration Dept or JPN but I think it is the Immigration Dept that is in charge of passports.
The website was rather dissappointing. I couldn't find the information I needed, like what is the process of passport renewal, what are the items that we need to bring over, which counter is open to that, how long does it normally take to have it renewed......etc.
So I had to call up the Immigration Dept to enquire. Don't call the General Line cos it NEVER works. Nobody ever pick-up. I called someone from the Passport division. Was told to bring 2 passport photos, photostat IC, old passport n the money.
So I finally went, and to my delight there were this place for me to renew my passport by the teller machine.
I must say that I was quite impressed. Took an envelope from the counter girl and she checked my passport to see if the chip was working, counter check my fingerprint with my myKad and then i was to proceed to the machine.
There was a pretty girl guiding the users how to go about with the machine so the experience was rather pleasant as I don't feel so stupid having to figure out how things work. In less than 10 minutes i was finish with it. Paid cash to the machine and got my receipt. Was to collect the passport in 24 hours. Cool! Funny thing is, I don't know why do I need to hassle myself to photostat my IC as adviced by the officer(through phone earlier). There was no need for the photostat IC at all. I also only used up 1 photo instead of 2 which the officer told me earlier. Hmmm....they don't even know the process themselves. Apalah waste my time to go photostat somemore.
The following day I went over to collect my passport. Took the numbers. oh jollygood, only 2 more numbers to mine. Waited like 5 minutes or so and It was my turn already. Needless to say, I got my passport renewed in less than 24 hours. Which was really great!! Totally debunked my impression of a typical government service for being slow.
Holiday here I come!! *cross fingers and toes*

Debenhams Malaysia Closing Down Clearance Sale!

I know I'm kinda late. But TimesSquare is NOT one of my regular shopping place. Sorry lah.
So I read from spicy about the clearance sales in Debenhams and decided to head over to reap some cheap stuffs on Sunday.
Debenhams is UK's No.1 retailer. It was quite shocking when I heard the news. But, not TOO shocking to me. Since Debenhams is a UK company, the products do carry the pricetag in pounds + tax + duty...etc. Malaysians don't dig expensive stuffs. Just like how CK Tangs couldn't survive eventhough it is situated at the Golden Triangle, same goes to Debenhams. Even a Fashionista like me, havent bought a single stuff from Debenhams before since it came to Malaysia, what more a regular Malaysian shopper?
The sales were OK. The really cheap stuffs were quite ugly, fugly and dirty. But thats what clearance sales is all about iznt' it. Finding some rare gems amidst the dump. I was told that they will be closing down by end of the month so those who is interested can still drop by. There are discounts going from 10% up to 90%. Some agent controlled items however, were not very cheap.....10% only. There are some brands like CasualClub and Pineapple going for 70% discounts. But a simple baby-T is like RM99(ori price) and RM129. So, it isn't VERY cheap lah I'd say. ALMOST bought 1 baby-T in pink though I didn't at the very last minute and am regretting it because i keep thinking about it. Dang should have just grab it. Frankly, I compared the price to the online store and the clothes are so much cheaper over in the UK!
Since by the time I was there after my dinner, it was nearly 9pm, I don't have much time to shop. I browsed through some of the stuffs, most sections were already cleared. I did however buy myself some clothes frm Joan Allen. It was somesort of a dinner dress. Bronze Long skirt with a see-through bronze cardi top. Not gonna showcase here less i get somemore bashing for my ugly taste. But it was cheap. Set me back by RM78. Somehow I strayed from Debenhems and ended up in 1 butique outside and got myself 2 street fashion tops. Cost me about another RM70 over for that.

St.Ives Hydroxy Masque

There are many different type of face masks around in the market.
I am however quite fond of clay masks. Been using clay masks for most of my life. However, recently i'm keen on trying peel-off mask.
Before my recent monthly cycle of the month, I experience a bad reaction on my face where I suddenly suffered severe breakout as of a teenager. I havent been having such severe breakouts for many years now and so it startled me quite a bit. Yes I still do have pimples making an appearance once a while but never SO MANY at 1 go. Never thought a person of my age would break-out like that. I have huge zits growing on my chin, nose, and cheeks......I was petrified. I thought I suffered some allergy reaction, which is quite possible too.
Using Acnecare and Oxy helped alot, but still my skin felt pretty bad and red. I realize that i needed something to cool-down the skin so I needed to do some mask therapy to sooth down the skin aggitation. I set my foot on the local pharmacy and got myself St.Ives Hyroxy Masque.
I must say that I really don't like the guey slimy feeling of the stuff I have to dab on my face. I had to make sure my hair is all tied up else it would be rather messy having my hair stuck on my face. After application, I just left it on for sometime while I go online surfing.....
Probably after 20 minutes, the mask will dry up. Then you will be able to peel-off the mask from your face. After peeling it off, I immediately felt my skin so much smoother, tighter and relaxed.
It really helped my face to recover fast and now I must say that all the acne and pimples are gone. Pheww....
For best results, do a mask once or twice a week. I also keep my tube in the mini-fridge I have next to my make-up area. Having it cold means nice and cool tingling sensation during application. It does make the skin feels better.
Enjoy your weekend!

Addressing the Dressing
I'd like to make a post to DT, who is a reader that left kind word and requested some opinion.
The question goes like this.
And I quote:
DT said...
Sooooooooo.......DT! So exciting! Nothing beats dressing up for an occasion! And a theme party is really fun.
I have not any "GREAT" ideas but I do have some humble ideas that is worth some thought. If I understand correctly, "blast from the past" would mean dressing up like people from the different fashion era. Like example 30's would be the famous tweed matching suits, 50's can-can, 60's micro-mini, 70's punk...etc.
If you ask me, For a dinner, If you don't want to OVER-Do it and wanna play safe but still conforming to the theme, I'd recommend dressing up circa 60's. Like this.

Wear some chunky earings, bracelet and chunky necklace.
The hairdo is something that you can really play with.
Although for me to provide better ideas, i need to know more information about yourself like whats your bodytype, hairlength and so on. However, looking at the limited time you have till Saturday, I suggest you take a look at this informative site at http://www.fashion-era.com
This is where i got the above pic from too.
Happy dressing-up Doll!!

Vain Pain
OK, I left a "slightly" sarcastic comment over at TigerJoe's post about the FHM 100 sexiest
women. And directed the WRONG crowd to mine. Oh sheeshh......get a life little kiddo.
I am NOT beautiful. I never ever once in all my 1 1/2 years of posting said that I AM beautiful.
I'm just a typical geek that is passionate about fashion. (although if you actually follow my post from the begining, i did showcase a BLURRIFIED face of me and my eyes and fingers....thats about it that i've shown so far)
I'm no longer young. Any modelling agency would call me ANCIENT and beauty pageant will not take me in because I no longer posses the "single" status. Talent contest will not accept my application due to breach of AGE limit.
Lets face it, I will never make it.
Here I am, having my own fashion shows on my blog and gathering my own crowd and bamwhamp........... "You've Got HATE mail!"
Oh wow, a taste of celebrity-hood (ok i'm fond of making up my own words)!! Am I getting famous? If I am, I'm hating it already.
Never wanted fame,
I knew it is just another game;
If ever, there will be no such thing as shame,
Whats left of me is only Vain.
[[Vain in both sense of the word.]]
PS. Thanks naja and amelia and those that stood-up for me. luv n kisses. muaks.
PPS. IF you HAVE to know......I look EXACTLY like my avatar. Now there.

Studio Shoes

Sooooooooo, as promised, here are the 2 new shoes from Studio.
Got them really cheap at 70% off. Its only RM25 each!
Now don't we all just loveeee new shoes?
I dont exactly like the wedges all that much but it looks nice on my feet. The second pair is just lovely, its bronze so it matches my new handbag, plus the silver strap makes it stand-out too. However the straps are a little tight on the arch so its a little difficult to slip the shoe in. Other than that, its almost perfect. Won't be showcasing the new handbag cos i'll be using it less i'm gonna be "discovered". :>

MyKad ,Your card.....whats the big deal?
Whats the big deal about having MyKad with you 24/7 that is worth RM3,000 to RM20,000 penalty??
Malaysian government are really good at making a big deal out of the most miniscule and ridiculous thing in the entire system. Now I try my best not to be the Little-Miss-Whiny-Malaysian but sometimes I get very frustrated reading the papers. I hardly buy any nowadays, I only choose what I want to read from thestar.com.my. Which is now my source of local news.
Kudos to the Fomca secretary-general Mohd Shaani Abdullah whom expressed that the requirement to have your MyKad with you at all times is outdated and too rigid. I agree so too. We are way ahead of the communist era. And besides, the cops should not impose penalty to the public for their own incompetencey. I mean, we are in the year 2006 already! You should really be carrying a small little device that will be able to check our identity through biometricc-fingerprinting device or something. We are in our own home-country, although I have been carrying my IC everywhere I go ever since I got my first when I was 12. Hey, we were indoctrinated that if we don't have em when the authority asked for it, we will be shipped back to china in a flash! darn those old folks lies.
Anyway, since it is the law that we should carry our IC at all times, i'm not trying to change it. However, the penalty is outrageouss. If i happen to go skinny dipping in the sea or something, where should I tug my IC??!! OK thats just a hypothetical scenario but lets just say what if.... ..then the policemen can arrest me and threaten to fine me for RM3000 or just pay him a bribe or kopi money of RM500 lah??
Seriously, what is so serious about the offense of not bringing an Identify card everywhere?? Have we thought about "what will we improve and what will be accomplished if each and every Malaysian abide by this law and carry MyKad everywhere at all times?" Will this bring significant improvement to the nation?? I say probably yes, but very very very little.
Now, what I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SEE implemented is RM100 fine per rubbish thrown in the streets. Yes I will totally approve and support the establishment of a fine for littering. 100% Support!!!
As much as i love Malaysians, we can be really ugly at times. I absolutely cannot tolerate litter-bugs!! ARggghh...
And when i'm driving, and the driver of the car infront of me just throw something out of the car.....it totally spoils my day.... Worst still are spitters!! yucks!! Malaysian drivers like to spit out of the car. EEwwwwee rite?
Absolutely, contaminatee the air of your germs only. I say fine them Fine Fine Fine!!! RM250 per Spit!
So if this law would be implemented in Malaysia, Would it bring about any significant achievement for the country? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Would probably make us as clean as Singapore. Would we all want a clean, lesspollutedd and fresh country? Yup! So I rest my case. No fine for MyKad, fine for Litter-bugs!
Malaysia Boleh!

Loreal Elseve Shampoo and Conditioner (New)-Nutri-Gloss
I finished my Vo5 shampoo for quite sometime already, after that I went back to Sunsilk (Pink).
However, i've realized that my hair began to drop more since I've changed shampoo so I thought of going back to get vo5 again.
So 3 days ago I was in 1Utama having dinner with hubby, while he ordered, i quickly dashed to Watsons to find my Vo5 shampoo. I quickly took the 2 bottles (1 shampoo and 1 conditioner), but before I could turn away, i spoted this. Loreal Elseve Nutri-Gloss. The new one in pink.
I was instantly tempted to try it out since i've heard quite good reviews regarding Loreal elseve shampoos. And also since they were giving out a FREE compact mirror if i buy 2 bottles, in which i would anyway(i usually buy shampoo coupled with the conditioner), I gave it a shot and bought myself the smallest bottle I can find (which is quite big also laa).
Been using the shampoo for the past 3 days and well...........

it is quite a let down.
Firstly, The shampoo doesn't smell very nice. To me, I'm very particular with the scent of a shampoo. I will only buy a shampoo if it smells nice because if the lingering smell they leave on your hair. My hair MUST smell good. The Pink Elseve doesnt smell very nice....:P However i was expecting the conditioner to smell the same though I thought the conditioner smells much nicer than the shampoo. Well, at least the bathing ritual says end it with the conditioner.
Secondly, it promise to leave your hair looking Shiny and Soft to touch - "like cashmere" so they say.
I'm not sure what it means but i was expecting a silky smooth hair to the touch. But for the past 2 days, My hair felt funny, felt rough and as though something is stuck to the hair. Innitially I thought I didn't rinse enough at that I probably had some of it on my hair but after a couple of careful washes, It still felt the same! I just don't understand why. My hair is naturally soft and straight. I've never experience my hair feeling this way before. Frankly its kinda yucky.
I wouldnt be buying this again for sure.
Anyhow to be fair to Loreal, a friend of mine was all praises for the Elseve (RED) for colored hair as well as the Orange one. Soooooo, i might try out those in the future.
PS. I wrote the above review few days ago but decided not to publish it yet untill I used it a few more days to confirm my finding. And yup, true enough I still have this funny coarse feel to my hair. I just don't like it. So i'm publishing my review today. Anyone used this product and find it good?? You're welcome to share with me here.....perhaps its just not suitable for my hairtype?
PPS. I don't know why the product is called ELVIVE in UK but ELSEVE here?
PPPS. I'm still a sucker for all things in pretty packaging. I never learn don't I ?? :>
