Do you trust your husband?

I was having some "si lai" chatting session with a female friend the other day and as usual we'd talk about shopping and work and husbands.....

So I happen to mention about the hubby sometimes need to travel overseas and she got this worried face on her when I mention that.
So she asked me if I "trust" my husband to go on business trips?
I said yes of course. Don't you??
She gave me an answer thats worth some thought. She said that yup she trust her husband fully.....but she dont trust other WOMEN.

I do understand what she is getting at. Married men somehow seems to be more desirable with their greying hair that portrays their wisdom and a fluffy wallet that spells out their wealth. And besides, married men are better at handling women and they know how to please them and are more tactful with words. Therefore women like to prey at these men.

The question is, how to keep your man loyal and faithful? Frankly, i dont think so there is an answer to that. The only one that have the powers to control them are the Almighty and his grace in abundance. But my take is that in order to be a good wife, a women should shrug off her Queen control nature. Women by default are possesive in nature and are control freaks.I see this as a total turn-off and will cause the man to want to "break-free". Therefore even before I got married, i've been very conscious over my actions and reactions in our relationship. I'm thankful that im not domineering by nature, nor am i impulsive. I'm quite demure in making decisions and I remain my calm when i sense a tense moment. Most of the time i'd just keep my mouth shut whenever i know i did something wrong, or rather when he thinks that i did something wrong. :P I may not agree with him all the time, but i'd just play along and say ok to whatever he wants.
So inferior meh??? So what? no face? come-on.... Just because i'm docile does not make me lesser of a women.

Im my 7 years of relationship, we've probably only have like 3 heated arguements that had tears streaming down my cheeks?? And frankly i couldn't even recall what was it about and when was the last time we argue over something. I'd say that is quite a good record isnt it? Of course i know its not entirely my part to play. Besides, It takes two to tango. Thus, I'm glad that the hubby is very understanding and basically knows when to pamper me like a princess and when to be the "head" and wear his pants. He is frankly, a great man whome I adore because he takes care of me well.

And of course, It helps that i married a geek. My only rival is probably the laptop!! :) I always tease him that his second wife's name is Compaq.

Although I have a few sweethearts I adore so much that I cannot wait to get home everyday to see them. They are:

1)my long time baby - my blog,
2)my occasional mistresses that comes and go - some tv series; and
3)my latest, greatest, most invested darling - PS2.

Can I die a happy man yet? Or a pathetic geek/hermit? Hahahaha...

irene: so when r u gonna "upgrade" your status ??? hehe....i use to have a crush on a basketball player. 3 yrs my senior. Then it got the other way round when he turned the table and was practically haunting me everywhere i go!! Needless to say, i changed course and ran for my life.....Dont understand ah? nevermind,I save this for future post story telling session.

Ian: haha!! i knew its the PS2!!! and so u got the TV eh??

Skay: Seriously sometimes the men are not at fault (not totally anyway)... How to resist temptation when ure miles away from the source of affection. And besides, who could resist "FREE food" shoved at your face?? I also dunno how to handle such situation, but thankfully no such problems to deal with at present. hehe

hmmm...definitely food for thought, this issue of whether or not to trust your men...

i think there is no definite answer to that - at the end of the day, it takes 2 to tango. if the men knowingly commit a wrongful (to the spouse) act, then the whole blame cannot rest on the other party (the other woman).

at the end of the day, like you mentioned, it's out of your hands...
