Maybank credit cards.........but i didn't sign-up for it!!?!?

About a year ago. I received a delivery from Citilink Express.

2 brand new credit cards from Maybank. 1 mastercard and the other American Express card.

The problem is, i did not sign-up for any.

Since i already have my citibank credit card, I've decided to stick to it and so i did not use the maybank cards. I just chuck it aside and never touched them.

This month, after a year, I received a statement from Maybank. They charge me for the renewal fee this year. WHAT THE??!!!!! *mumble grumble*

The maybank people are giving me extra work to do. I didn't ask for the cards so why did you send it to me anyway. I didnt' use the card, not even once. I assume that by not using it means i have not activated the card and that it should just be cancelled off. You expect me to cut the cards into pieaces and send back to you?? You think i'm so free meh??? wasting my time and my money to post the card to you somemore.

Sigh.......
Nowadays credit cards are free. i can get Free for 3 years, Free for 5 years, Free for life from dunno wat bank........I mean nowadays its just free. I dont' need anymore credit cards. My citibank is free for 2 years so i dont need anymore cards to tempt me to spend more............ ..Thanks but no thanks ok!!!! Unless you tell me i dont have to pay for the cards, then i might consider using it.

Haiyaa........wasting my time, as if i dont have enough things to do i now gotta go call them up and complain and cut the cards in half and the send back to them.........

Well that's not so bad yet. I read about a guy whose auntie died already, but for a few years the card company still sent her the bills for annual fees. So it seems, if you're ready to cash off permanently better cancel your cards first.....

i got mine too, but i cut it up immediately. Bad experience with Maybe Bank.

how can they send you without you signing up.

They have no rights to do that, because later you will need to cancel tons of CC even you did not sign up for it.

Maybank sent me the two cards too, without my asking for it. I cut them up immediately, and never heard from them again. I think Maybank is trying to hit below the belt.

Fashionable one

Your Xperience recalls those Spanish lottery guys sending you Email congrats thee you've won USD2million in a draw for their biggie, but the trouble I never bought any tickets. So this well trained lawyer fell for it, donating wat RM100,000 as initial expenses to get the PRIZE. What was that saying -- there's a sucker born ....So this credit card must have adopted their marketing T-nique. Can we band together and file a Class action suit for harassment? any good lawyer among thy good fRiends?

PS: DIGRESSING, a fav routine of mine in my own place, here I borrow a little space, OK? -- You miss'd the Challenge 3(b), but the deadline is extended for your sake till 8am the morrow; your BKT challenge was thus re-named 3 (a)...

If you've got an account with them, they'll automatically send you a few. Just get the cut off and cancelled.

I used to have one from Citibank but the inconvience of having to pay RM5 OR go all the way to KL to pay my bills every month just made me gave up on the company. Besides, I only got it free for one year...and my Maybank CC is free for three years. ^_^
