5th Parenthood Expo is here!

The 5th Parenthood expo is here!!
Well, I don't think i will be going this year because I try to avoid crowded places.
I was there last year because I was then pregnant and needed to hunt for baby stuffs. I must say it is worth the visit as there are quite alot of sales going on. I bought my pureen "pregnancy" toothpaste at quite a bargain price. And I also bought some nursing bra from youhaveababy.I love them and i think the price is considerably cheaper than most others. I also love bra's from fabulousmom but the latter is a tad more expensive.....still comfy nontheless.

If you are pregnant i suggest to avoid crowded places. Get someone else to go for you lah. And for those with babies....better to leave them home. I remember someone told me her child got the HFMD during the fair..... pandai pandai lah....

Two New BBcream (Elianto and Silkygirl)

I love my skinfood BBcream the most as i believed it helped clear my breakouts.
However, I still like to experiment on new BBcreams. For the recent months, i had tried out 2.
The first one is what i got from Elianto. There are two types of BBcream. 1 is the normal tube type and the other is the one i got, which is the balm type. The reason i got the latter is because I was really looking for something that is waterproof and does not smear. The SA told me that the balm is water resistent but the cream is not. Thus, I bought this to try.

Hm....I was quite disappointed with this one as the coverage is really very minimal. Though it does not smear after a sweat, but....the coverage is just too light that i still have to top it up with my Revlon foundation. I can even do without it as it cannot even act as a concealer. However, i perhaps will keep on using and see what happens later. Cos perhaps ....as with all new balms....the top of the balm is still quite hard and difficult to scrap off the pack.

As for the silky girl BBcream, i bought it because I was curious, and also as with all silky girl product, very affordable. After a trial run, I really like that it is almost as heavy as a foundation thus the coverage is good enough to skip applying foundation. It also have a matt powdery finish which makes your skin look flawless. I like. However...as to much disappointment for me....it melts away too easily upon contact with water, which is a nono for me. I sweat buckets!! And i hate my makeup to smear!

As a mama to an infant, i only can afford to use waterproof make-up because I can't afford for my baby to accidentally touch my face and ended up eating all those chemicals. So, Revlon Colorstay foundation is still my no.1 make-up of choice because it does not come off easily. In fact, it lasts for a whole day and even takes effort to remove them! But, i'm still looking for a BBcream that does that for me because I notice that the Revlon Colorstay(though i've been using it for perhaps 8yrs) makes me break-out. Like duh...i only noticed it recently after using for so many years! hehe

So...the quest is still on! Next on my shopping list.....BRTC!! :)

Turning 30!!

oh mymy.....Its already August and i've only done 14 posts for the year!! haha....what a blogger am i! Well, this month, i'm turning 30, and for the past few days, i've been having this nagging feeling of getting old. You know, for a lady, turning 30 is a big deal! Its like you've finally reach life at its peak and its only going downhill from now!!! Unlike men, where 30 is only the beginning. Le Sigh....

My hubby always tells me that a women look their best when they are 30. And he always assured me that i would look my best when im there. Well, its drawing near and all i see in the mirror is ME at my heaviest EVER!! Double Sigh!!!!!

But the good news is i've finally manage to shed another 2 kg this month. That means another 4kgs to go to reach me pre-pregnancy weight. Weightloss is such a struggle post pregnancy. Dispite me being utterly breathless and worn out....the weight just refuses to melt away after the initial 10kg. I put on a total of 17kgs during my pregnancy. The final 5kg was stubborn as hell.

I'm going to celebrate my birthday and I'm gonna treat my family for a great buffet. I'm planning my own celebration! heh.....But of course it would be charged to my hubby's credit card! haha....of course he is paying! I've already done him a favor by organizing my own party. The least he can do is pay. Hmm.....'i'm thinking about Lemon Garden buffet at Shangrila. I wonder how much is the dinner buffet and how can i get a good deal?? Any special offers going on?

I have like a week to go and i'm determined to loose another 2kg. I need to look good on my birthday! I've already got myself a good haircut. Burnt RM600 for that. *wipes sweat*.

Anyway, I'm feeling quite good as the big 3-0 approaches. I truely am grateful for what I have, where I am now and my best achievement before 30 is becoming a mom. I feel so blessed.
